We believe in natural running.
All our products are designed to be lightweight, minimal and functional.
We have a team of elite athletes who compete in a variety of disciplines all over the world, including mountain running, road running, triathlon and CrossFit.
Natural running involves taking running back to its most innate form, letting nothing alter the natural biomechanics of the foot and body. Natural running relies on the strength of the runner’s feet and legs rather than the cushioning or support of a shoe.
They give runners the confidence and freedom to run hard through any environment and over any obstacle. The aim of our footwear is to keep the foot close to the ground so that runners can feel and adapt to the terrain beneath them.
The foot controls the shoe, not the other way around. We offer a range of soles and cushioning. Each shoe provides the optimum grip and comfort for the terrain — from road to rocks, mud to sand, the mountains to the box.
We are proud to have sponsored the World Mountain Running Association since 2004 and support grass root competitions and events across the globe. From our past to our future, what has, and always will drive us, is our passion for running.

TRANSITION JOURNEY We believe in natural running. Natural running relies on the form and strength of a runner’s feet and legs, rather than the cushioning of a shoe. The closer you are to the ground the more you can feel and adapt to the terrain. When running barefoot (or naturally) the foot will instinctively land on the forefoot rather than the heel. This forefoot landing causes less impact than heel striking and has been associated with reduced injury and increased speed and efficiency.* We believe that the majority of runners can make the transition to a more natural running style by gradually reducing the amount of cushioning in their shoes over time. inov-8™ offers a range of cushioning and differential (the difference in height between the heel and forefoot) named Shoc-Zone™ so that runners can choose the shoe most appropriate to their style.
The Shoc-Zone™ can be identified by the number of arrows on the heel of the shoe.

We use four lasts, each of which give the shoe a distinct fit. Fine tune the fit by using a 6mm and/or 3mm footbed to increase or decrease the internal volume.
