Stories of the World With ZENDEH
22 students of Billingham South Community Primary School took part in ZENDEH residency in June 2013, creating Strories of the World
The Stories of the World featured all 11 countries which were scheduled to perform at the Festival 2013
Children learned from ZENDEH’s Artistic Director Nazli TabatabaiKhatambakhsh and Associate Writer Steven Gaythorpe how to create a story and worked in small groups, with each group exploring one of the countries, creating characters and the story lines.
They learned how to present the stories on stage and used their imagination to playact the stories they created.
They produced hand-made books with their stories with the help ZENDEH Associate – Visual Artist Yvette Hawkins
At the end of the residency the children presented their own stories on stage at the School Assembly

video and presented at the festival Gala Concerts
