Options in MAIN screen: Name and Sequence Settings n
Setting Names
01. Highlight the Sequence field (Sq:) and press [WINDOW] to enter the sequence’s preferences. 02. Turn the DATA wheel to bring up the name editor. F1

03. Use DATA wheel or cursor buttons to navigate the alphabet and additional characters. Use t and u to move the cursor in the name field. 04. Select the letter / character of your choice and press u to enter it. Repeat this for the rest of the name you want to give to your sequence. 05. Use the F-keys for further naming operations like DELETE [F1], INSERT [F2] and Copy & Paste [F5]. Use F3 [A/a] to switch between upper and lower case characters. 06. Press ENTER (F6) to save the name. NOTE: The description of the name editor given here, not only applies to naming sequences, but to all naming procedures in the MPC 1000 in general!

Changing the playback mode of a Sequence
01. Highlight the Sequence field (Sq) and Press [WINDOW] to enter the Sequence Options. 02. Move the cursor down to the ’Next sequence’ field, then use the DATA wheel to select from three of the following playback modes: END OF SEQUENCE: The next sequence starts after the last has cycled through its bars. IMMEDIATELY START: When skipping to the next sequence, it immediately starts from the beginning. IMMEDIATELY PLAY: This will play back the next sequence from the actual playback position of the last/ current sequence. 03. Press F4 (CLOSE) to save changes. NOTE: You can also change the playback mode in the Track Mute Screen: highlight a sequence and press [WINDOW]

Simult Sequence
01. In MAIN screen, highlight the 'SS' field and turn the DATA wheel to select a sequence that will be played back simultaneously with the Sequence selected in the 'Sq' field. 02. Press PLAY. NOTE: Check out what you can use this function for: http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=76823
