REBUILDING BIODIVERSITY

BIFFA AWARD FUNDING IS JUST THE BEGINNING... We are proud to be a significant part of the Landfill Communitites Fund, supporting positive change across the UK.This impact assessment summary demonstrates that the work doesn’t stop when projects receive a grant, or when the money has been spent. Biffa Award funding leads projects on to bigger and better things, and helps open the door to new investment. Improved sporting facilities have led councils to provide coaching services; and upgrades to building infrastructure has inspired residents to fundraise for more significant extensions. Biffa Award funding is a catalyst which energises other community efforts and pursuits. We know how important the Landfill Communities Fund is, and we want to see it used to inspire and empower communities for years to come. It is often claimed that communities are fragmented, and that people no longer feel a sense of belonging. The consistently high number of applicants to Biffa Award, and the work of our local heroes across the country suggest to us that community spirit is alive and well. It is our absolute pleasure to support it.
