You can earn points for your hall with attendance and participation at the various activities. The hall with the most points wins a hall party! Color Games Dance 8:30 pm on the Atrium Lawn Come meet your new community members and earn Color Games points for your hall. DJ K-Rich will be playing all night long.

Don’t show up without a Color Games T-Shirt! Newly designed shirts are available at the “Ask Me” tent on the lawn between the Atrium and University Dining Hall.

Academic Success Committee: Plans activities to support our residents academically. This committee plans the “Academic Success Banquet” each Spring semester for students who achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher in the Fall semester. Health and Wellness Committee: Plans programs and activities boosting our residents’ consciousness of issues relating to physical, psychological and emotional health.

Parking Opening Weekend Parking Free move-in parking is provided in Lot G (Baker, Graves, Homan) and Lot D & E (Suites) for opening weekend only.

Parking Permits Parking permits will be available for purchase in the Atrium August 17 and 18. $93 per semester $186 for the academic year Parking is enforced 24 hours a day at all on-campus parking lots. To use any of the available student lots, you can purchase either a day pass for $3 or visit the Police Department Service Center to buy either a Fall-only or Fall/ Spring pass.

Campus Internet & Student Software Solutions Fresno State provides FREE Internet access for all University Courtyard residents. Baker, Graves and Homan access is through wireless connections. The suites are hardwired.

Residence Hall Association (RHA) What is RHA? If you’re a resident of Baker, Graves, Homan, Sequoia, Cedar, Birch, Aspen, Ponderosa or Sycamore halls, then YOU are RHA! The Residence Hall Association is a student-run organization that encourages the development of community in University Courtyard through student leadership, service and innovative programming. Health Center

The newly reconstructed Henry Madden Library is located in the center of campus. Housing well over 1 million volumes, the Madden Library is the largest library in the California State University system. Services available in the library include: Laptop checkout program, Multicultural Program, Music and Media Library, Teacher Resource Center, Copy Center, Services for Students with Disabilities, Starbucks, and much more. Located on campus, the Health Center provides comprehensive outpatient medical care to all Fresno State students, including psychological counseling services. When you check in you will receive your personal mailbox assignment. It is your responsibility to check your mail regularly. The mailboxes are located in the halls for community-style and in the Atrium for suite residents. Your address is:

Large capacity washers and dryers are available for use by residents. To use the laundry facilities, you’ll need to purchase a Webcard. Cards cost $5; $3 is automatically credited to the card for use. Additional money may be placed on your Webcard via cash or credit card.

Room Safes Each bedspace comes equipped with a lockable safe in the closet. You should have received an email (to your Fresno State email address) from CSI Safes with instructions on how to unlock your safe when you arrived on campus. Use of the safe costs $98 for the academic year. To opt out of using the safe (and to avoid the $98 charge) please make sure to fill out the form in the front of your handbook that you received in your check-in envelope.
