Successful TV actors who left their careers for Bollywood but it did not work out For everyone who dreams of acting, Bollywood holds a very significant and special place. No matter how much renowned and loved a person is on the small screen of the country, they want to make it big in the bigger arena. That is exactly what these well-established TV actors did and while some of them succeeded with this step, the others failed big time. Following is the list of some of those actors who left their successful careers and flopped on the big screen : 1) Amar Upadhyay First seen in Dekh Bhai Dekh as the awkward guy in the age category of the 20s, Sahil Diwan is a renowned face on the small screen of the country. In the show, he played the character of the nephew of Shekhar Suman. It was the serial named Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi that gave him his major break in the TV industry. He played the role of Mihir who went on to become the ideal son and a household name in the country. After achieving a lot of success and fame, he ventured in the field of movies with Dhund – The Fog (2003) and LOC Kargil (2003) but unfortunately did career in the movies did not go well. 2) Rajeev Khandelwal Became an instant success, the very renowned Rajeev Khandelwal made his debut with the serial Kahiin To Hoga. After this, he went to work in a good number of shows and was also the main lead actor in Left Right Left. After being the center of so much attraction and success, he left this industry in order to venture into the Bollywood industry. It was in the year 2008 that his first movie, Aamir came out but was a failure in the box office. He went on to be the part of a few more movies but unfortunately, none of them were successful. 3) Eijaz Khan Having first appeared in the popular tv serial Kahiin To Hoga, Eijaz Khan went on to become a successful name in the TV industry of the country. In the year 2008, he took a break from the TV industry for his Bollywood venture Meerabai Not Out. The movie was a failure at the box office and it made his return back to the TV industry. He went on to work in a couple of other movies but only gained some recognition in the year 2011 when he worked in the movie Tanu Weds Manu. 4) Jay Bhanushali Jay Bhanushali is vastly known for playing the character of Neev in Kayamath on Star Plus and after this, he went on to make his debut in the Bollywood world with movies like Platform No.6 (2013), Hate Story as well as Ek Paheli Leela. None of his movies succeeded and he was last seen in the 7th season of Khatron Ke Khiladi. 5) Aamna Sharif Instantly rose to fame, Aamna Sharif debuted opposite of Rajeev Khandelwal in Kahiin To Hoga. Both the show and Aamna were a huge success after which she left the industry of TV in order to work in Bollywood movies. She went onto deliver 2 movies in the following one year but both of them failed to work out and Aamna's Bollywood career failed to take a flight.
