Those looking for a different take on the allAmerican classic will appreciate New Belgium Brewing Co.’s Bike-In Cinema. In 2004, New Belgium decided it wanted to give the classic drive-in a facelift, one without the car. Ever since, it has hosted an annual movie event on its front lawn. And each year, movie enthusiasts join 500 of their closest friends, biking in to sip beer, sprawl on picnic blankets, and watch movies under the stars. The movies range from uber-classics to contemporary indie flicks and cult masterpieces. The event is typically held each Thursday night throughout the months of August and September, featuring a different movie each week. Beer is for sale, and all proceeds go to local nonprofits. Details for the 2015 season haven’t been ironed out yet, but keep checking the website for more information.
