ACADEMIC PROGRAM ENRICHMENT Contributions to this fund support the ongoing strengthening of Berkeley Hall’s academic program, which is rooted in both a rigorous, leading-edge curriculum and in the building of character. This helps teachers foster a love of learning among students while, at the same time, nurture the development of leadership qualities such as teamwork, perseverance, commitment, and loyalty. he Berkeley Hall Annual Fund is the primary way for alumni, parents, past parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, trustees, and friends to support the yearly priorities of the school. By giving, you help Berkeley Hall take advantage of mission-driven, real-time innovations and investments that keep a Berkeley Hall education dynamic and outstanding – both inside and outside of the classroom. Gifts to the Berkeley Hall Annual Fund provide immediate operational support for a variety of projects – cutting-edge classroom technology and equipment; increased opportunities for ongoing professional development of our teachers and staff; ensured financial assistance for greater diversity among our students and families; robust visual and performing arts resources; and lively and inspiring co-curricular activities and athletics facilities. We are enthused to announce our 2016-17 BHS Annual Giving Family of Funds. We introduced this approach to the Annual Fund last year to address the fundamental elements of our School’s mission-driven programs and to enable Berkeley Hall donors to direct gifts to areas of their particular interest, or to where the need is greatest.
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT This fund offers faculty opportunities to continue the Berkeley Hall tradition of life-long learning, growth, and development. Through professional opportunities, our teachers will remain at the forefront of excellence in education. Gifts to this Fund will support teacher initiatives and pedagogical excellence in all areas of the School.
CAMPUS RENEWAL Contributions to this fund are used to enhance our academic program with the latest equipment, technology, and labs – and to ensure that our beautiful and amazing 66-acre campus is itself a state-of-the-art learning laboratory as well as an essential component of a Berkeley Hall education.
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID This fund supports the provision of financial assistance to students whose families demonstrate need and who otherwise would not be able to afford a Berkeley Hall education. This enables Berkeley Hall to enroll talented, motivated, mission-appropriate students, whose contributions, values, attitudes, and backgrounds enrich the Berkeley Hall experience for everyone.
WHERE THE NEED IS GREATEST With unrestricted gifts, donations to this fund enable Berkeley Hall to use and leverage financial resources to where they are most vitally needed. Gifts to this fund support the School’s operating budget – which directly benefits students, faculty, staff, programs, and operations.
