Lake Central AS A SOPHOMORE (2010-11): Set a new Notre Dame record in the 100 breast with his 53.75 performance at the BIG EAST Championships ‌ that swim was the first ever 100 breast swim under 54 seconds in Notre Dame history ‌ the 100 breast showing was also good for his first individual NCAA B-cut ‌ swam the breaststroke legs of the 200 and 400 medley relays that set new Notre Dame records with NCAA B-cut times of 1:28.86 and 3:15.10, respectively ‌ also recorded two additional personal-best scores at the league meet with swims of 2:01.18 in the 200 breast and 20.76 in the 50 free. AS A FRESHMAN (2009-10): Delivered the ninth fastest 100 breaststroke performance in pro-

sonal bests in the 400 IM (4:00.98) and 200 fly (1:49.80) came during the prelim session at the BIG EAST Championships as an exhibition swimmer ‌ stopped the clock at 9:58.20 in the 1000 free and 53.31 in the 100 fly in a tri-meet with Cleveland State and Miami (Ohio) for personal best times ‌ touched the pad at 4:53.21 in the 500 free in a dual meet against Pittsburgh for another personal best ‌ competed in the 200 IM at the Ohio State Invitational and finished in a time of 1:52.19 which is a career best ‌ shaved over seven seconds off his 200 IM time over the course of the season ‌ racked in three top three finishes over the course of the regular season. THE GAUGER FILE: Earned four varsity letters under head coach Mark Schelbert at Kokomo (Ind.) ‌ team went undefeated in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons ‌ two-time NISCA All-American in the 200 IM ‌ three-time USA Swimming Academic All-American ‌ four-time IHSAA allstate (200 IM, 500 free) ‌ three-time team MVP and team captain ‌ holds school records in 200 IM, 500 free and 200 free ‌ nine-time conference champion and league’s 200 IM record holder ‌ all-state and All-American in the 200 IM in his junior and senior seasons ‌ national finalist for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award ‌ vice president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes ‌ senior class treasurer ‌ treasurer of the National Honor Society ‌ born Sept. 6, 1990, in Kokomo, Ind. ‌ son of Lisa and Gary Gauger ‌ oldest of three children ‌ enrolled in the College of Science.
