anuary means two things in our region: Fabulous sales (I always wait to get my fabric from Elizabeth Stanhope’s this month) and Lunch for Less is back! If you haven’t been to The Berkley Arms in Wymonden yet, then make the most of this offer (more on page 29); I have already booked for March! Thank you so very much to all the entries for the photography competition, results on pages 42-44. I was overwhelmed by the standard and have many a front cover now to hand! To see more local talent I urge you to buy a copy of ‘Our Rutland’, which is a marvellous coffee table book and keepsake on sale for £6 this month from our sponsor ‘Buy the Book’, which sadly closes on the 15th January. I gather manager, Adam Faulconbridge, is looking for new premises and we wish him the best of luck. Happy New Year and here’s is hoping for a prosperous 2012

Abigail Late in: “Don’t miss the Vanilla January sale which starts at 9.30am on Tuesday 3rd January. As usual there will be some great clothes at great prices and this year as a special treat to welcome customers in from the cold as they will be offering every customer a glass of warming Winter Pimms.”
