WHAT’S INSIDE

CONSTRUCTION

In 1989, Surftech pioneered the use of composites and technology in the manufacturing of surfboards, paddleboards and stand up paddleboards. Known for the quality, consistency and durability of the boards, Surftech has always paired their best technology with the perfect design to create the best boards on the market.

The TEKefx boards start with Surftech’s proprietary water-resistant fusedcell foam “core” making them strong and durable. TEKefx boards are then wrapped with a thin layer fiberglass and Bamboo veneer, which is then therma-molded and bonded to the core using high-quality fiberglass and epoxy resin. TEKefx boards are durable, lightweight and have a high gloss transparent finish to them to show the bamboo and vibrant colors.

The Air Travel Inflatables are made of high-quality puncture-resistance PVC and Drop Stitch materials to create a strong, rigid SUP that can go anywhere and stores easily. Surftech Inflatables use our dual-pressure hand pump to transform from duffle bag sized to a full-sized SUP in just minutes.

Designed with performance and strength in mind, boards built in BCC (Bamboo Carbon Composite) start with Surftech’s proprietary waterresistant fused-cell foam “core” and wood stringer that is vacuumsandwiched with layers of high-quality fiberglass, bamboo, and epoxy resin. The addition of carbon fiber to the deck and rails along with another layer of fiberglass make these boards strong, light and performanceoriented.

Blacktips are built with a water-resistant fused-cell core, epoxy resin, fiberglass, and a wood reinforced standing area. The full soft foam deck provides built-in traction creating a comfortable standing area, while the slick bottom ensures good glide. Boards built in this construction are soft, safe, versatile and easy to ride - perfect for newer paddlers looking to progress.

Every Pro Elite board is made using Surftech’s proprietary water-resistant fused-cell foam “core”, which is the lightest, most durable core on the market. Tight bonds are created between the fused cells to create a water-resistant core that can withstand dents and dings. The core is then pressure-molded using high-quality carbon and fiberglass with a PVC reinforced standing area resulting in a light, strong, rigid board.

Surftech’s proprietary water-resistant fused-cell foam is the “core” of every Coretech board making them extra strong and durable. Coretech’s are then wrapped with a layer of Divinycell, which is then therma-molded and bonded to the core using high-quality fiberglass and epoxy. For an extraadded strength where it counts, a natural wood standing area is installed for reinforcement where it matters most. Coretech’s are ultra durable, have a flat finish making them easy to repair and refresh as needed.

All new for 2017 is Ghost Carbon. Starting with Surftech’s proprietary water-resistant fused-cell foam “core”, each board is meticulously shaped using an 8-way CNC machine and then the core is hand finished to bring out every detail of the board. The Ghost Carbon boards are laminated with 100% carbon fiber, vacuum bagged to reduce weight and to seal the board to perfection. It is finished with a semi transparent, flat finished paint to keep weight down and performance up. CONSTRUCTION

AIR TRAVEL INFLATABLE The Air Travel Series introduces three unique inflatable lengths and shapes to the Surftech lineup. These models provide any type of paddler with the best option for their recreational and touring adventures. The Surftech inflatable boards combine progressive outlines, strategically placed handles and fin boxes, an integrated deck pad, high pressure valve, and the most advanced drop stitch technology to create one of the most lightweight inflatable compact travel partners.

SUPERFLY The all-new 2017 SuperFly is our answer to high performance paddle surfing. With a surfboardinspired outline, the pulled-in nose transitions to chimed rails, allows the board to easily get on edge. Vee throughout the outline along with a rounded tail helps to increase maneuverability and switch from rail to rail more easily, while the bonzer-inspired bottom contour offers great drive down the line. SEARCHING FOR SERO

ACCESS CAMPAIGN

Searching for Sero is a mental wellness photography project created by professional photographer, John Rathwell and writer, Tracy Guenard. Sero being short for serotonin â&#x20AC;&#x201C; the chemical believed to contribute to the feeling of happiness. In spring of 2016, the couple embarked in their 1991 VW Westfalia camper van to travel NorthAmerica in order to find and share the best Sero Stories of people who are passionate about outdoor adventure as the key to happiness, well-being and balance in their lives. The project was spurred after both Rathwell and Guenard lost close family members to suicide last year. At the end of the project the couple will create a photo book and the proceeds from the sales will be donated to charities working in suicide prevention.

The value of something is based on the experiences that it can give us. ACCESS is all about experiences. We take a photojournalistic approach to telling real adventure stories, with people who are passionate about the outdoors. This leads to an authenticity in the final product that canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t be faked, to stories that are worth sharing, and to a reality that is rarely seen in branded imagery. We aim to break the mold of traditional advertising, take out the fabricated experience and replace it with something that we can all relate too.
