Art Exhibitions

The previous two years have been highly successful for the Visual Arts Department. We are delighted to celebrate the success of our 2020 exhibition, The New Normal, as well as congratulate the winners of the 2021 exhibition, Platform.

Our visual staff work hard every year to put on our very own Visual Arts exhibition, which helps to both acknowledge success in the Visual Arts curriculum and also celebrate creativity in a range of media at both junior and senior levels. Our 2020 exhibition was aptly named The New Normal, and was held in the David Hodge Performing Arts building for the first time—a beautiful space to exhibit art. The theme for the exhibition reflected the strangeness of 2020 and the range of work was a vibrant and diverse celebration of the creativity of our students. Members of the local community as well as staff and students attended our open evening and visited the exhibition over one week. We would like to further congratulate all of the entries and the award winners, as well as the winners of the 2021 exhibition Platform. The award winners for the The New Normal exhibition 2020 were as follows:

First Place Painting: Connie Park Second Place painting: Rebecca Van Bemmelen and Sarah Kim Third Place Painting: Minjung Lee

First Place Photography: Sam Taylor Second Place Photography: Nadine Lees Third Place Photography: Brooke Thomson
