ASTEROID BELT
The asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter is a region of 550 million km with over 18,000 orbiting asteroids. Some asteroids even have orbiting satellites around them. The spacecrafts that have sailed through the asteroid belt have shown that the distances between each other are enormous. A theory says that it was formed by the destruction of a small planet. ATMOSPHERE
The atmosphere is a gaseous cap that wraps the Earth. This is formed by a mixture of gases, particles of powder and water. It has several cap: the troposphere and the stratosphere.

CLOUDS
They are mass of small droplets of water in the hydrosphere. The have different colours: black, grey or pink. They have different forms too.

COMET
A comet is a lump of ice and rock. The comets are into the Oort cloud, in the limit of the Solar System. When some of them escapes , it comes into the Solar System. EARTH
The Earth has got conditions that favour the existence of living being. This conditions are: a temperature approximate on its surface of fifteen degrees, an atmosphere with oxygen, and the presence of water in form: solid, liquid, fizzy.

It's a spring water that flows through the land.

LAKES
They are freshwater bodies that accumulate on the ground. It's an important liquid part in the Earth. A famous lake in the Earth is Loch Ness.

MARS
Mars is the fourth planet in the Solar System. It's called “the red planet” as the iron oxide on its. It's got a thin atmosphere and a surface with volcanoes, valleys, deserts and polar ice caps like the Earth. The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Mars are similar to the Earth. MERCURY
It's the smaller of the inner planets. It hasn't got atmosphere or satellites, and it's the closest to the Sun.

MOON
The Moon is a satellite of the Earth. Its diameter is 3.5 times smaller than our planet. It has got two types of movement: rotation motion and translation motion.

OCEANS
They are big mass of salt water. In the Earth there are five oceans: Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Antartic and Artic oceans.

It's an Earth's movement around its axis. The time that the Earth takes in a full turn is 24 hours. This movement causes days and nights.

SATELLITES
They are stars that haven't got light. The satellites turn around the planets and their shaft. They are smaller than the planets. The Moon is the satellite of the Earth.

It's a planet of the Solar System. It has got a ring system and numerous satellites. One of the satellites is so big as the Moon.

SHOOTING STAR
Small celestial objects that enter into the atmosphere. When this small objects (called meteorites) crosses the Earth atmosphere, it burns and appears with a light tail. This is a shooting star.

SOLAR SYSTEM
The Solar System consists in a central star, the Sun, the bodies that accompany it and the space between them. There are eight planets that orbit round the Sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The Earth is our planet and it has a satellite, the Moon. The Earth is the bigger of the inner planet.

A spring is running water that goes out of the land in a natural way. In Priego, there is a spring called “La Milana”.

They are born from gas and dust clouds found in the space. After thousands of years they come together to form a large ball.

SUN
The sun is the nearest star to the Earth. It's a giant gaseous mass. It's 6000 degrees. It gives off light and heat that makes life possible on Earth.

VENUS
Venus is second planet of the Solar System. It receives his name in honor to Venus, the Roman goddesss of the love. It's called frequently the brother Earth planet, since both are similar as far as size, mass and composition. When Venus is more shining, it can be seen during the day, as the Moon and Sun.
