Benedictine College Parents Association Bylaws

Article I Name This organization shall be known as the Benedictine College Parents Association.

Article II Purpose The mission of the Benedictine College Parents Association is To support and enhance the parent experience at Benedictine College To collaborate as a partner with Benedictine College in the enhancement of student growth and development To facilitate the involvement of the parents in the advancement of Benedictine College

Article III Membership Any father, mother, or guardian of a student attending Benedictine College is automatically a member of the Benedictine College Parents Association. At the discretion of the Executive Board, any person may become an honorary member of the Parents Association.

Article IV Officer The Chairperson(s) – an individual or couple – duties are to set the date, time and location of Executive Board meetings, to draft and send out an agenda prior to Board meetings and to preside at meetings. The Chairperson(s) will serve as the first point of contact from the College to the Board and Parents Association. Terms of Office: The Chairperson(s) serves a term of two years commencing on July 1 through June 30. The Chairperson(s) may serve more than one term but not more than two consecutive terms. Elections: The Chairperson(s) may be nominated by any member of the Executive Board and elected by a majority vote of the Executive Board.
