Trends in Sleeping Options for your Guests We all love having family or friends stay with us at our home, with the ability to put them up comfortably and conveniently. Most of us don’t want our parents sleeping on a blow-up air mattress on the floor, or an uncomfortable sofa bed where the centre bar presses on your back all night long. However, many of us don’t have the luxury of having a full time spare bedroom. If you do have an extra bedroom in your home, many would rather use the extra space as an in-home office, media room or gym. There are many new options on the market that will allow your guests to sleep like babies while under your roof. Sofa Bed: The advantage of a sofa bed is that you have a seating for the room, and then have the option of a bed once in a while when you need it. Most sofas will fit a queen-size mattress. There are some very comfortable options on the market now. From blow-up beds to memory foam mattresses, these aren’t your

grandmother’s sofa bed! Murphy Wall Bed: A murphy bed is a sleek, but fairly permanent option to a space. There are all sorts of extras and add-ons that you can incorporate into the design to make them functional for your room. You can incorporate desks, closets, and lighting. You would never know that they are there, if you didn’t know. They aren’t always the best option, though, if you are on a tight budget, or renting a space where a builtin option is not feasible. There are many wood stains and paint colors that you can chose from as well. The Chest Bed: A chest bed is a moveable piece of furniture that looks like a sideboard or cabinet. Inside is a 7 inch foam mattress that folds out to a comfortable queen-size bed. There is a drawer under the unit to store your linens. These are a great option for anyone that wants to move the piece with them or have the flexibility to change
