#LEADLIKEBaylor

Talented teachers, high academic standards, and the development of leadership skills in a coed environment are the hallmarks of a Baylor School education.

At Baylor...

You elevate your academic potential. Faculty who are leaders in their field and devoted to their craft guide students to think beyond the simple answers – a valuable skill for college and the workplace beyond it.

You gain global perspective. Attending classes with students from five continents is already awesome, but students can widen their world view even further by choosing one of five foreign languages and participating in foreign exchanges, cultural immersion and service trips, and the Baylor Global Scholars Program.

You tackle real-world problems. Baylor students tutor kids at local schools through our afternoon Community Service Program, but their work doesn’t stop there. Their tutoring serves as a catalyst for researching and writing grants to help underserved children and neighborhoods, and to improve education opportunities for children in Kingston, Jamaica. Many of our graduates earn service scholarships to prestigious universities and pursue service careers around the world.

You do science. Students with a passion for the sciences can move beyond the traditional study of chemistry, biology and engineering to an independent study track through the Baylor Research Program. Mentor-guided, students in the program are conducting university-level research in breast cancer, aquatic biology, and virtual reality, and more.

You have room to roam. Situated on the banks of the Tennessee River and surrounded by mountains, Baylor’s spacious 690-acre campus offers students a chance to stretch their legs and their minds amid trees, trails, and wetlands. Walkabout, our nationally-acclaimed outdoor program, takes you even further afield with rock-climbing and hiking excursions to surrounding mountains each afternoon.

You’re in it to win it. Named by Sports Illustrated as one of the Top 25 high school athletic programs in the country, and by MaxPreps as the most dominant high school athletic program in Tennessee. Baylor has won more state championships than any other school in the state and our facilities and fields rival most small colleges. Five alums are currently playing on the PGA and LPGA tours.

You shine onstage or off. A nationally acclaimed choir program anchors the Baylor arts, but students find expression in dance, theatre, orchestra, digital design, painting, and photography, prepping for college-level classes and professional, creative careers with instructors who are working artists.

You experience innovation framed by history. Our new $14 million academic center opened in 2018, marking a historic $52.3 million fundraising milestone to improve classrooms, residential spaces, and dining facilities. Millions more have been raised over the years to enhance a 24/7 learning and living community that includes six dorms, a renovated library, student center, and athletic training facility.

You get launched. Our graduates earn millions of dollars in college scholarships each year and are accepted to colleges and universities in every region of the country and several countries abroad.

You lead the way. Baylor alumni have had careers with the United Nations, won the Pulitzer Prize for Journalism, developed life-saving cardiac diagnostics, researched cures for cancer at the National Institutes of Health, written New York Times best-selling novels, become award-winning filmmakers, and led companies throughout the world.
