says Karen. “A lot of built-ins too were on my wish list, and I had to have a fireplace—although I think we ended up with four! And being a retirement home, we wanted a complete first level.” Rooms with a view of course where high on the list, too, including the kitchen stunningly designed by Angela and Mike Goodall of Kitchen Choreography. “I like to cook, but I wouldn’t say I’m a great cook,” laughs Karen. But she does love her kitchen, with room enough for the entire family at the breakfast bar. The kitchen also boasts spectacular coiffured ceilings that add the highly dramatic “wow” factor. Attention to detail is prevalent throughout the entire house. The carpentry and finishing touches are simply dazzling.
