Off-post movies in English Want to see a movie that’s not playing on post? Two movie theaters in Nuremberg play films in OV (original version), which for American movies, means in English. Check out the Roxy, a small theater with only two screens, or Cinecitta, a larger theater with some films playing in OV.

German-American Kontakt Club The Vilseck Kontakt Club meets every Friday at 7 p.m. for Stammtisch at the Club House, Rose Barracks Bldg. 301. Get Involved with Cougar House Get involved with the Cougar Foundation: Open Chair and Board Positions. The Cougar Foundation is a non-profit that supports the soldiers and families of 2nd Squadron 2nd Cavalry Regiment based in Vilseck. We support several events throughout the year for the local community. We are entirely run by volunteers and donations. If you are in support of what the Cougar Foundation does, please give some thought to joining our administrative board. Hours can be attributed to professional work experience, hours toward promotions points and/or the volunteer service award. These positions are open anyone over the age of 18 with valid SOFA status. If you are a member of a 2/2 CR FRG you are still welcome to participate, but FRG leaders, Co-leaders or Treasurers are limited to chair positions only. Work experience is a plus. Open positions are Art & Marketing Chair (not design experience needed), Community Relations & Outreach, Membership Chair and Vice President (as of Jan 2015). Christmas Market at Freihung 29 Nov: Located at Freihung Harranger (next to church) and starts at 4 p.m. with an opening by the Thansuess trombone brass band and the Kindergarten Saint Marien. At 4:30 p.m., Bishoph Nicolas stops by with presents for all the children. At 5 p.m. is a wooden crafts sawing performance with Christmas songs performed by the Thansuess trombone brass band at 6:45 p.m. And at 8 p.m. is a raffle.
