YOU are the Students’ Union YOUR GUIDE TO THE SU

Welcome to Bath! We are delighted to welcome our new students to the University of Bath, and to your Students’ Union (SU), and to welcome back our returning students for another year. The SU represents all University of Bath students, which means that you’re automatically a member and can enjoy all of the benefits that come hand in hand with being a part of the organisation. As a union, we support over 48 sports clubs and 85 societies, organise campaigns, offer a professional advice service around a number of diverse issues, give you the opportunity to take leadership positions and represent your peers as well as run a range of events and activities, like the Summer Ball and Freshers’ Week – and that’s just a small part of what we do! We want you to have the best experience during your time at Bath, and so advise you to take every opportunity you get. Get involved with a club or society, stand to represent your fellow students as an Academic Rep, take part in a volunteering challenge, or even find a part-time job to help fund your studies. We’re here to empower you to make the changes you want to see. By getting involved with your Students’ Union, you’ll be able to benefit from all the resources, support, and expertise we have on offer. Remember: everything we do is led by you! This guide provides you just a sample of what your SU has to offer, so take a moment to have a flick through and keep it safe for the rest of the year. Good luck for the year ahead, and we look forward to seeing you around your Students’ Union. If you see us out and about, be sure to come and say hello! Have a great year, Your Students’ Union Officers x
