AGES: 4 YEARS TO ADULT Martial arts is great fun for kids… and a great way to give them a head start in life. For over 25 years, the masters and instructors at W. Kim Taekwondo have been teaching the positive benefits of self-discipline and confidence to help the children develop coordination and increase their strength and flexibility. Because respect is built into martial arts, children develop the ability to listen, learn and achieve within a highly regulated environment of trust and encouragement. With a right balance of exercise and skills training that will build endurance, strength, flexibility and mental toughness, students learn the principles of respect, willpower and the satisfaction of doing their best. When they have the determination to step up and give it their best effort, they are always rewarded with the prize of personal satisfaction. We teach the fundamentals by combining the time-tested Eastern philosophy of martial arts with a modern approach of Western teaching philosophy. We offer a wellbalanced program for adults and children that emphasizes respect, self-esteem, fitness and integrity. We follow a 1:8 ratio – when there are more than eight students, an additional instructor will be added. Please visit www.wkimtaekwondo.com for more information. (Min/Max: 4/16). Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, iconic superstars of the silver screen from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and beyond, find themselves in Purgatory…IN THE SAME BODY! They were involved in a real and manufactured feud for most of their screen careers which culminated in their making one film together, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? The actresses defend their lives to the powers that be. Comedic rapid fire exchanges and attacks drag out all the skeletons from each other’s closet…including: their disdain for each other, their professional jealousy, their failed marriages (each of them had four), their sexual peccadillos, their competition for the same men, their troubled childhoods and their eldest daughters who both wrote scathing books attempting to destroy them. Exhaustively researched, this innovative one-woman musical presents fourteen songs with hilarious, brilliant lyrics. Fireworks! Written by, directed by and starring Jillann Gabrielle. Food and drink provided. Registration deadline: November 1 (spaces permitting). (Min/Max: 15/80). WE’RE PROUD TO SUPPORT THE

BARRINGTON PARK DISTRICT What do we love the most about this community? The people we share it with! That’s why we support the families here, the local businesses, and the charitable organizations, too. Instead of just providing banking solutions, we also take pride in giving back to the people who work to make this area so great. Why? Because this isn’t just home to us; it’s home to all of us. And, as a true community bank, we know that when we all do our part, we can help make Barrington better for everyone.
