I want to thank Marco Marinaro ITFR Chairman for his confidence giving me the task of Tournament Director of 2010 ITFR WTC. I will try to match the previous editions, even if it is really difficult, considering their perfect organization. Thanks from now to the Organizing Committee that is giving me a very important help and thanks to all Rotarians friends that are helping me directly or indirectly to the success of the 6th ITFR World Championship. We have arranged an intensive program for a holiday dedicated to the international Rotary family about friendship and solidarity. We hope to meet many friends in the field from around the world. 1st Midnight Sun Tennis Tournament / Finnish Open Championship in Raahe, Finland Our tournament was quite a small-scale, but all 5 participants enjoyed tennis, Rotary friendship and a very nice weather in Finnish summer evening. The midnight sun bathed us with warmth and light. Most important was we could help Rotary’s fight against Polio. We try to do large tournament next summer! 5th GOVERNOR’S CUP by R.C. Galatina-Maglie-Terre D’Otranto, district 2120, Italy The 5th GOVERNOR’S CUP, organized by R.C. Galatina-Maglie-Terre D’Otranto, was carried out From April 29 to May 2, at the Tennis Club of Galatina, near Lecce, Italy.
The organizing committee chaired by 'Assistant Governor Giuseppe Garrisi and technical manager Engineer Giovanni Stasi held next sporting event, a series of side events to facilitate understanding, friendship and harmony among all participants. The matches were held on five clay courts of the Tennis Club Galatina. Winner of the Men's Singles group A (good players) was Giuseppe Dell'Anna Misurale R.C. Lecce Sud District 2120, which passed in the final Giovanni Licignano R.C. Lecce District 2120, won the tournament last year. Men's Singles Winner Group B (amateur players) is Giancarlo Bertacchini R.C. Riva del Garda District 2060, which passed in the final Vincenzo Arsieni R.C. Lecce District 2120. The men's doubles was won by the pair Licignano- Arsieni R.C. Lecce District 2120 that has passed in the final pair Ditonno-Spagnuolo R.C. Bari District 2120. The Group B men's doubles was won by the pair Bertacchini- Chiarito R.C. Riva del Garda District 2060 and R.C. Salerno District 2100 against the couple Onorato-Peschiulli R.C. Nardo District 2120. The mixed doubles was won by the pair Bertacchini-Mauro on the pair De Pascalis-De Riccardis from the R.C. Galatina-Maglie-Terre D’Otranto. The award ceremony took place dur-
