I’ve always said if you’re going to be in the cattle industry, you better be a gambling man and Sailors’ Delight is a result of just that. In 2019 when I was making my breeding decisions, I was intrigued by a young bull called Red Eagle. I had seen no calves yet but decided to try my luck and got a nice heifer calf that we decided to put in the keeper pen. In 2021, time comes to breed that heifer, so I decide to double down on unfamiliar bulls with 9 Mile One of a Kind and hit big with Sailors’ Delight.
