• The term “Often imitated, never duplicated” comes to mind when describing the Legendary dam of Kickin Tail. There are full sibs to Cottontail, full sibs in blood to Cottontail, even maternal and KenCo Miley Cottontail - reference dam paternal sibs to Cottontail, but in this sale, all the progeny are out of the one and only cow herself, Cottontail! Kickin Tail was Cottontails natural calf that was one of the heaviest weaning calves we have ever had here at the ranch, he was simply a man among boys that year. He has impressed all visitors at the ranch with many people asking when we were going to offer him for sale, well the answer is September 27th 2014. We have sold many units of semen on Kickin Tail without even running and ad, we leased him to Sunset View Farms when he was young, resulting in one of the high selling yearling bulls this past spring. His calves come easy and will flat out grow!!! With his Dream On free pedigree it is really easy to turn him out with a majority of cows in the pasture and not worry about line-breeding. This is one big stout young bull that can go out and breed a lot of cows and sell some semen to help pay the bills. Kickin Tail is Homo Black and Homo polled. We are selling full possession and 75% semen interest in Kickin Tail. For further information contact us at the ranch or DP Sales.

• This one is painful! We have been working on this one for almost 3 years! We did an IVF cycle on Cottontail 3 years ago with sexed Pays To Dream semen with the plan on producing IR Range Boss - reference sire 139Z. She was born 2 years ago, never missed a beat looking like the young donor we had hoped for. She bred to our outcross calving ease sire “Range Boss” and now that she is close to calving and soon be ready to flush, and we are letting her go! That’s right, its painful! But our PAIN is your GAIN. It will be hard to find one as beasty as this one with the legendary cow family being offered this fall. You can see her udder will be remarkable and she will make one impressive donor for many years. Sells safe to Range Boss and will calve approximately 30 days after sale. • Pasture Exposed from 1/1/14 to 3/4/14 to IR Range Boss, ASA# 2648991

• 17A and 440A – It just makes perfect since to write one footnote for these two awesome females. Both are the only females we have out of Milestone and Wide Track. Both females have a sleek and arrogant look about them but what I like the most is the mating flexibility of their outcross pedigree’s! Just imagine how many sires you can use on these two unique individuals. Both sell bred to our awesome young calving ease herdsire “Wheelhouse”. 440A is due approximately mid February and 17A is due in approximately in mid March. Both of these gems have big shoes to fill as the Cottontail daughters are continuing the consistent dominance of one of the most productive cow families our breed has ever seen!

• Not a shocker that Cottontail worked on a bull with that WLE prefix huh? Stacking this pedigree that contains Cottontail and 770P, was simply the easiest decision we ever made. Phenotypically she is awesome, her ant eater front end explodes into a body that is bold and broody! Good footed and sound at the ground will take this one straight to the donor pen. In fact a maternal sister to 333U was just named Reserve Grand Champion female at the highly competitive Iowa State Fair. 333U has proven herself in production and in the donor pen. Her first calf 432X, was a top seller sired by WLE Quota and now owned by Darren Smith and Kerry Travis. She has been flushed once producing 16 number one eggs. She has a heifer sired by Monopoly that will be a featured lot for Beckett Cattle in this years Holiday Classic sale. She has a bull by Steel Force that is the main herdsire for Joe Beckett. This cow has power in the blood and is ready to let it flow. She sells safe to our new outcross sire IR Range Boss for an approx late October calf. This cow has earned your consideration! Homozygous black. • Bred AI on 12/7/13 to W/C Wide Track, ASA# 2588250 • Pasture Exposed from 1/1/14 to 3/4/14 to IR Range Boss, ASA#2648991

There are a lot of Angus cows running around the country but not many like the Elga cow at Bill Conley’s. A maternal sister to this High Voltage daughter topped the BC sale last year at $58,000 and many more were highly valued as well. These High Voltage daughters look to have great udders and plenty of volume. This royally bred beast is bred to IR Range Boss, the Accelerated Genetics stud that we own with Irvine Ranch and Circle H Simmentals and is due in late October. • We have used many multiple Angus bulls on our Simmental females over the years in producing half-blood females, but it is very clear, BC Lookout has worked the best by far! You don’t have to look very far, in this catalog is a female named SS-DS Dandy Kane, that was a $14,000 top selling bred going to BF Black Simmentals. As you can see that one has worked out very well. A59 looks very similar to her paternal sister at the same age! She is massive in her rib shape and super soft bellied. Free and easy on the move while catching your eye the whole time. A59 was AId to Guslinger and Pasture Exposed to Wheel House, after two preg checks we haven’t been able to determine which bull she is safe to, but one thing is sure, after this one calves you will be a very proud owner! When the list of most prolific donors in our breed came out this summer there was only one halfblood on that list, Sazerac P94. • This cow has been the gift that has kept on giving, and she has got a lot more giving left to shower her lucky new owner with. She was selected as an open female out of the Sander’s Ranch Sale with high hopes, and she has more that surpassed that by securing a spot at WLE as one of our lead Daughter of Rew/SS Gracie Babe donor cows in the program to date. We have sold multiple heifer calves for $20,000 plus; the most recognizable going to Circle M Farms of Rockwall, TX was named the Champion Simmental Female at San Antonio in 2012. This cow’s production potential does not stop at females; she has also impacted significantly the bull pen here with all male progeny being marketed exceptionally well. This is a powerhouse donor cow, free of Legacy in her pedigree, that has worked exceptionally well in embryo transfer for us. It is only because we have two replacement females in the herd and a few embryos left in the tank that we offer her up for your purchase. The guesswork is done here…the marketing scheme already laid out…it’s only up to you to take her home and let her work. Sell open; ready to flush.

• No need to tell any of you to pay close attention here. Whether it’s flipping through the catalog or walking through the lots on sale day, you all will find this one with little attention needed! In our minds, this is the prototypical1/2 blood Simmental female. Phenotypically she is good jointed, perfect uddered, smooth as a ribbon, and as good looking as God makes ‘em, except Dave Zeis made this one. Genotypically speaking, this cow offers the serious breeder the versatility to mate her any way you want to take her; she is backed by generations of substantially proven, profitable, and recognizable Simmental and Angus cattle names. With only her third calf at side, take advantage of our mistake in letting this one go. Her mating to WLE Big Deal just might be the best one yet; it has been a case of excitement around here ever since we dropped the straw of semen in her in May. • Bred AI to WLE Big Deal Z617, ASA#2743620. Due to calve on 2/12/15

• When you see this cow in her working clothes with her phenomenal bull calf at side on sale day you will see why we were hesitant to open the gate and let this one go. Most breeders can sympathize when I say, “It is nice when a plan comes together” and that is what you are seeing first-hand here. This 3/4 blood female is the proud product of an up breeding scheme that originated with the purchase of her phenotypically flawless dam from Cane Ridge Cattle Company in partnership with Parke Livestock Enterprises. This cow is the perfect illustration of the good things that the legendary CNS Dream On L186 has done for the high percent Simmental cattle population in the US. Good uddered, moderate, flexible cattle, with an undeniable look; all of which are noted as good as we know how to in this cow. Better yet, she readily transmits all of those sought after traits into the next generation as you will see. Let’s add Upgrade and 770P into the mix with AI sire WLE/ LWSC Revival and it’s going to get really interesting!

• This heifer calf is exactly the kind of cattle that have helped WLE survive and navigate the Simmental seedstock business waters to date. This is what I like to call a “staple” kind of female; like bread and milk this is the kind of heifer that you can never have too many of around. Fundamental in her design from the ground up; she is soft footed, good in her angles, impressive in her center body, substantial in her chest and base, with still the right kind of look. Don’t just pass this one up! This kind of functional working cattle are not always easy to come by no matter the place or their age.

It is with the utmost confidence that we say, “What you see is exactly what you get in this one”; hence the overwhelming excitement that our crew has over this bull calf running alongside his awesome momma. He hasn’t been pampered or babied, but this guy is packed full of muscle and raw power while uniquely and seamlessly combining a look and working skeleton; something that is hard to come by. We believe in this one enough that WLE would like to retain 1/3 semen interest in this exciting young sire.

• We purchased Longs Foxy Lady at the 2011 Select Simmental sale in Louisville, KY. Shortly after she had been named Champion Simmental at Aksarben where she first caught our attention. We sold Foxy’s first heifer baby by Shear Force for $6,000 on our private treaty sale. We flushed Foxy twice with sexed semen netting eight embryos and once convectional with ten embryos resulting. That’s her flush record. We have two of Foxy’s daughters in our herd and are selling a power Fatt Butt daughter in this sale. We are offering Foxy Lady in her entirety bred up early to WC BF Innocent Man. A huge opportunity in one of the first Innocent Man calves to hit the ground, and the future of this under used powerful young donor. Retaining one flush at buyers convenience and sellers expense.

• Sugar Shack is really the first calf of SS/DS Dandy Kane in that her first born injured a hip early and never fully recovered. Sugar Shack is a unique SimAngus™ individual. Good boned, big topped, sipper fronted, and very correct. Yes, she is more moderate than some and yes she is a 5/8 blood but like that 5/8 socket she will fit somewhere perfectly! Mostly she shows what kind Dandy Kane can produce. You can vary the size with the bull you use. We think Sugar Shack’s parts are put together pretty nicely.

• We at Southern Jewel are pleased to be a part of the Head of the Class. We are a young operation, however, we are pleased and excited to be able to offer a few top prospects. This heifer is definitely named right; she has the look of your next champion. It is great when a female can put all the things together such as phenotype, structure, data and then the overall look. You be the judge, we are proud to offer this prospect. Of course, don’t forget the grand dam, Amazing Grace she passes along some of the strong “look“ genes.

• Bliss is a product of Sanders Ranch herd sire, and past champion Packin Heat. This March born female is correct and straight in her lines. B012 is a female with a bright future because of her deep flank, overall rib shape, and neat made design. This female will be a good natured show prospect and after her show ring career will no doubt be an efficient brood cow. Her dam, MLF N343 is a donor for Bryan Creek at Sunset View and continues to shell out the good ones.

• We at Double Bar selected Jewell Y9S1 as a bred heifer in the 2012 Head of the Class sale. When we saw the picture of Red Jewell and then checked out her producing ability we wanted to acquire a daughter. In the 2011 Sanders sale we loved several of her progeny however just got out bid that day. We have flushed this Explorer female with much success and have embryos in north of the border. As many breeders know we select for power, body depth and over all do-ability. In our program we feel this female thru her future embryo transplant progeny will produce bulls that will fit our needs and our customers needs as well. Hopefully we will try to retain a few females in the Double Bar D herd. Y9S1 is the right type and kind being wide based, stout and deep. This Jewell cow sells open ready to flush or bred this fall. Y9S1 sells with two embryos sired by our main herd sire, Captain Morgan. CM’s progeny look superb with growth and substance. The results have been great all around. Also, we are offering two sets of three embryos with a guarantee of one pregnancy per set. The embryos are exportable and stored at Trans Ova in Chillicothe. Thanks to Sanders Ranch for allowing Double Bar D to be part of elite sale.

• Many will remember this female as she sold here in last years sale. We swept the pen of three & boy are we glad we did. These are the keeping kind, and we will be keeping the others. Out of the Dillon donor and the popular Steel Force this one is bred to produce. 918Z is a prime example of how good these SimAngus cattle are. Put 918z on the short list and bid with confidence. Bred up for a October baby, take her home and watch her make money!!!!

• Another female we should be keeping but as the old saying goes, you can’t keep em all! This functional bred goes back to the 770P that continues to do a phenomenal job at WLE, this deep bodied, broody female will make the front pasture for sure. Bred to the half blood bull W/C United for a fall calf, this mating could produce that next great one. Another top notch bred to add to the list. • Bred AI on 1/5/14 to W/C Untied 956Y, ASA# 2614725 • Pasture Exposed from 1/15/14 to 4/1/14 to SVF SS X607, ASA#2576817

When you score a goal, hit a three, or get a touchdown, you don’t do it for yourself, you do it for the TEAM CAUSE because the name in the FRONT of the shirt is more important than the one on the BACK. -unknown
