LEISURE - BEACHES Bingin Beach *(Surfing) Within swimming distance of Impossibles beach, it is still very natural and quiet. Experienced surfers love to come here as the waves are near perfect and often form pristine tubes. The water is also fairly safe for swimming and snorkeling as the waves break on a reef about fifty to one hundred meters from the shoreline. Green Bowl *(Great for Surfing) Only accessible from the long zig zag stairway at the temple next to the closed Bali Cliff hotel. There are caves at the bottom of the stairs and monkeys live nearby. Great scenery and adventure. Mainly known for surfing while swimming not recommended. Jimbaran Beach A sleepy cove where local fishing boats colour the scene. The perfectly shaped bay is a safe haven for leisurely swimming. It is also a popular spot for watching the sunset and eating fresh seafood. Balangan Beach Located in Balangan Village, has great views and a big wave good for surfing. It is quite easy to reach the beach from the top of the hill. Nyang Nyang Beach *(Surfing) Known for its white sandy beach and its perfect waves for surfing. It is located at the western part of the Bukit Peninsula, facing the vast Indian Ocean. This deserted surfing beach offers complete privacy for visitors or surfers. Suluban Beach *(Surfing) The beach is located a few kms north of Uluwatu, close to Bingin surfing beach and Labuan Sait. Its crystal clear waters and pefect waves make it the most well-known surfing beach for surfers from around the world. Labuan Sait Beach The beach is located a few kms north of of Uluwatu Temple, facing the vast Indian Ocean. From the parking lot, visitors have to walk through a 60m long coral reef tunnel to this beautiful beach. Tegal Wangi Beach Located next to the Ayana Resort in Jimbaran. A beautiful beach, the Tegal Wangi beach. The beach is named after temple which resides up on the cliff. Access by walking down the cliff path from the rocks, some experience is needed, for first time visitors but it’s relatively easy. A top pick beach in Bali for photographers especially for pre-wedding photos. Muaya Beach located at the most southern part of Jimbaran Bay Bali. Located near has some the Four Seasons Resort and the Intercontinental Hotel. World famous seafood restaurants are all there for sunset dinner after a days fun. The seafood barbecued on coconut husks to give it its unique flavour. This beach generally fairly quiet during the day.

Nusa dua Nusa Dua Beach A beautiful stretch of white sandy beach that offers excellent swimming conditions in a protected lagoon and appears designed for the pleasure of the guests of the big name hotels situated here. Tanjung Benoa Beach Like most coastal areas, Tanjung Benoa used to be a fishing village with an old dock. Now, most of the shore-side properties are upper class hotels & resorts. A small mangrove marsh lies at the western side entrance.

Geger Beach A quiet beach next to the stunning St. Regis Hotel where you can swim in the clear water, go fishing, realx and go sunbathing until the sun goes down. Mengiat Beach (Surfing) Located in Nusa Dua in front of Hyatt Hotel in Nusa Dua. Protected by an offshore reef, which prevents waves from breaking on the beach, makes the water calm and easily swim-able. Surfers also take advantage by riding boats out to the reef to surf.

Sanur Sanur Beach Great place to watch the sunrise with a calm & quiet lagoon that offers great conditions for wind surfing and para-sailing. Padang Galak Beach *(Surfing) White sandy beach, popular for surfing, includes warungs and accommodations. You can see the Bali sunrise, and Mount Agung. The Bali Kite Festival is held here. Matahari Terbit (Sunrise) Beach It is just 5 minutes from beautiful Sanur Beach and is a black sandy beach popular with the locals. Lebih Beach There are various water sports or sailing on 'jukung' - traditional boats.

East, West Coast, North Bali Padang Bai Beach A picturesque bay surrounded by cliffs and hills, is a perfect escape in east Bali. It is famous for its pure white sandy beach and lovely harbor scenery as a transit harbor to Nusa Penida and Lombok. Candi Dasa Beach The beach has been mostly washed away, due to past coral picking, Slowly the coral is returning and Candi Dasa has become a popular tourist destination. However, the beach is not suitable for swimming. Amed Beach Amed, around 30 minutes drive from Candidasa, is one of the best scuba diving and snorkeling spots in Bali with its amazing under water world. Amed is a traditional cultural center with only minor changes due to tourism. Tulamben Beach Over time Tulamben Village has become known as a marine village. The lava flows and huge volcanic stones are attractions. The Liberty shipwreck lies close to the beach at a depth of 30 meters and fragmented into two parts. Nusa Lembongan Beach An island off the east coast of Bali, it is a popular destination for cruising and sailing. Pristine white sandy beaches with aquamarine bay ar e perfect for diving and snorkeling. One can also enjoy the glass bottomed boat rides. Nusa Ceningan Beach Ceningan Island is just next to Nusa Lembongan. Great for water sports, this is the place to dive or snorkel. Nice coral formations like pillars, table corals and a lot of fish are fanatstic attractions. Tanah Lot Beach Located at Tabanan and next to Tanah Lot temple with its black sand is not recommended for swimming or surfing for beginners, but it's great for horseback riding and watching the famous spectacular sunsets.
