VIEW ONLINE @ www.rekord.org.za Onbaatsugtige gemeenskap reik uit na twee ou mense, nadat hulle al hul besittings verloor het tydens ‘n brand. Josef Modensela en Norman Kumalo se woning is verwoes in verterende vlamme verlede Vrydag omstreeks twaalf uur middernag. Die voorval het by Nigel Hallgate Plotte plaasgevind. Daar word beweer dat die brand veroorsaak is deur ‘n primus stofie. Norman was ten tye van die voorval binne die woning en het ongeskonde daarvan afgekom. Nigel Landelike Noodramp en Hulp Bestuur (NLNHB) van Sektor 6 is ontbied. Ron Stapelberg brandhoof van NLNHB was eerste op die toneel en het die brand onder beheer gebring. Die vragmotor langs die huis is onmiddelik geskuif om ‘n ontploffing te voorkom. Die
lewende hawe is na veiligheid geneem. Lesedi brandweer het voor 02:00 Saterdag oggend die vuur geblus. Die NLNHB het ‘n beroep gedoen op die gemeenskap om die slagoffers te help. Op Dinsdag, 22 Julie het Rekord Josef en Norman besoek. Josef vertel dat die mense van sektor 6 hulle goedgesind was. Hulle was oorweldig en hul harte vol dankbaarheid oor die gesindheid van die gemeenskap. Talle skenkings onder andere komberse, meubels, kruideniersware en boumateriaal is aan hul besorg. Chris Venables, NLNHB Sektor 6 hoof spreek sy dank uit aan die gemeenskap wat sonder om te skroom met oorgawe allerlei items geskenk het. Selfs diegene wat ‘n karige bestaan voer, het hulle hulp aangebied en hul medelye kom toon.

Dink aan iets om te dra en maak dit 10 keer blinker. Die Nasionale Raad vir Persone met Liggaamlike Gestremdheid in SA loods die projek. Fondse word ingesamel ter ondersteuning van persone met gestremdhede soos regte tot onderwys, behuising, opleiding, toeganklikheid en werkskepping. Donasies word verkry deur die verkope van R10 plakkers. Plakkers is beskikbaar by enige van die Edcon groep winkels en dit sluit die volgende in: Edgars, Jet, JetMart, Boardmans, CNA, Red Square en Legit. Indawo forced to move Over the years Indawo Yosizo (an outreach of Heidelberg Methodist) has grown in strength and numbers. Starting with only one permanent staff member and a few volunteers Indawo grew to having 60 paid staff members. Most of the staff were care givers and counsellors funded by the Department of Health (DOH). The 60 staff looked after over 800 children and 450 adults and was obviously a blessing to the community. Further to this Indawo gave over 120 food parcels to families per week and fed up to 120 meals to the street folk each month. The Empowerment department made many shirts and dresses and a number of ladies were taught how to knit and sew. Many items of clothes we also sold and given away to the needy. The food gardens always looked fantastic with very good harvests. The vegetables were distributed to the needy supplying a constant supply of fresh vegetables. Fruit and vegetables have also been donated on a weekly basis and helps make up the 120 food parcels. Late last year the DOH decided to reduce the funding to ALL the NGOs (NOT just Indawo) and paid the stipends directly to the care workers and counsellors. The administrative staff (all care workers and counsellors reported to the administrative staff) was still funded by the DOH and this funding included some of the running costs, rent, phone and electricity. Late last month we were called in to the DOH and told that ALL funding has been stopped to ALL NGOs and that all the care workers and counsellors would now report to the clinics closest to where they stay. This obviously made the administration staff redundant and all admin stipends, running costs, rent, phone, and electricity funding was stopped. This was a shock to the organization and drastic decisions had to be made very quickly. To save costs Indawo is moving from the small factory to a house at 46 Smit Street. This will halve our rental costs which will be a large saving to Indawo. We were pleasantly surprised to be called to the DOH again on Friday and we were told that what they had now decided was that they are going to appoint 6 NGOs to look after all the care workers and counsellors in the whole of Gauteng. This would make the successful NGOs responsible for many

Rev Goddess, Heidelberg Methodist Church more employees than just 60 people. Indawo prides itself to remain ethical in all its dealings including the use of finances. We are one of three NGOs out of 48 NGOs in our area who used the allocated money correctly and always had the money to pay the staff and to buy the recommended uniforms and aids for the staff. Because of this we are trusting and praying that we will be one of the 6 NGOs selected so that we can again fund our admin staff and make sure that the staff is looked after and that the people in need are being cared for. While the new premises are much smaller Indawo is still well and for now will continue functioning as it was except that we will not have the DOH personnel reporting to us. This means that we will continue to give food parcels out to the 120 families, continue to feed the street folk (and offer a shower and washing of clothes to them) and continue with all Empowerment projects. We will also still have our second hand clothes department. Our three Global Fund ladies will still be working in Ratanda Section 23. In addition to this we have had to look at more ways to raise enough funds to sustain the operation of Indawo. We are ever grateful for the folk who regularly donate funds to us but we still need more funds and so we have trained our admin staff to do books for small companies (up to trial balance). Tot kykers se ontsteltenis het die uitsending nie gerealiseer nie. Die nuusbulletin is weereens op SABC3 gelees om 19:30. Dit blyk dat die
SAUK blatant vir kykers gejok het oor die toekoms van die Afrikaanse nuusbulletin. Volgens Zandile Nkonyeni, woordvoerder van SAUK-TV, is dit ‘n strategiese besluit om die skuiwing te maak. Die kykergunstelinge soos 7de Laan, Noot vir Noot en Voetspore gaan op SABC 2 bly. Mooiloop gaan terugkom, maar gaan op Vrydae uitgesaai word. Die VF Plus beskou die besluit wat geneem is rondom Afrikaans as onwettig, aangesien die Afrikaanse gemeenskap geen insae gehad het in die administratiewe besluit wat hulle grotendeels benadeel nie,” het Pieter Mulder, leier van die party, in ‘n verklaring gesê. “Dit bevestig verder die geleidelike vertrapping van Afrikaans en verontagsaam grondwetlike waarborge oor taal in Suid-Afrika deur die korporasie.” Die uitsaaier ontken dat hy Afrikaanse programme onderdruk. “Die veranderinge het niks met Afrikaans te doen nie,” het Kaizer Kganyago, woordvoerder vir die SAUK gesê. Hy het verduidelik dat nuwe televisie-sepies en ander programme

Ons glo daaraan dat alle tale ‘n platform op al ons televisiekanale moet kry. Die SAUK ondersteun die Wet op Uitsaaiwese om seker te maak dat alle tale gelyke regte geniet.” Mulder sê as daar na ’n taalkaart van Suid Afrika gekyk word en dit met SABC3 se uitsaai-voetspoor vergelyk word, is dit duidelik hoe die nuwe skuif Afrikaans sprekendes benadeel. Byna die hele Noord-Kaap, Oos-Vrystaat, Oos-Kaap en groot dele van die Wes-Kaap sal hierdeur geraak word. Die Afrikaanse nuus asook ander aktualiteitsprogramme soos 50/50 en Fokus sal van bogenoemde kykers ontneem word. “Dit is ’n ernstige vraag waarom hierdie kykers steeds TV-lisensies ten duurste moet betaal terwyl hulle nie ’n diens in Afrikaans kry nie,” het Mulder bygevoeg. Many times the devil attacks us on the level of identity in the same way he tempted Jesus in Matthew 4:3-10 – by questioning our righteousness as children of God based on what we go through or do. We live and fight for the glory of His name: On our strongest day we do not have the capacity to overcome the weakest demon. Only in Christ, do we obtain everything we need to live victorious lives that bring glory to the name of God (Acts 3:6-16). We don’t have to be strong in ourselves. Through Christ we partake of the supernatural power of God to overcome. As God’s children, we stand protected and submitted under His power that works on our behalf (Joshua 10:42). Trails and battles are a crucial part of our growth: James 1:2-4 teaches that trials test our faith and so produces patience in us. In Judges 3:1-4 we see that God deliberately allowed hostile nations to attack the Israelites so that they (the Israelites) could grow in skill and ability to wage war. Nothing exposes and develops our character like opposition. God wants us to be skilled and strong in battle against the enemy. For that purpose, He allows us to face trials and opposition whilst at the same time providing us with ample support, teaching and direction to overcome in every possible situation. Once we have a revelation of God’s power available to us through Christ, can we step into victorious living – life without immobilizing fear, free from intimidation and ever increasing in the knowledge of God’s will. Today, choose to say no to fear by embracing the power of God, alive and active in and through you, His child!
2 Corinthians 10:4 Salvation, unlike many times mistakenly expected, is not a ticket out of trouble. When we give our lives to the Lord, it does not exempt us from trials and hardship. In fact, it makes us part of the army of God. No soldier going into battle finds it surprising when an attack is launched and shots are fired. If our expectations are wrong, it is easy for the devil to ensnare us in fear and timidity so that we cannot walk in the purpose of God for our lives. A defeatist mentality or a lack of confidence in the things of God is often the direct result of not knowing that: Purpose driven believers live in a warzone: 2 Corinthians 10:4 teaches us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds. Since the Bible clearly outlines our weapons, it is obvious that we are at war and should expect attack. The Bible also warns us concerning human hostility when we embrace and proclaim the Gospel (Matthew 10:21-22).Storms are an inevitable part of every human being’s life (Mark 4:35-40); Christians are no exception. We are righteous through Christ: Our righteousness or right standing with God sprouts not out of our actual ability to live perfect lives, but out of the finished work of Jesus on the cross. When we receive Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are automatically set right with God the Father. Once our righteousness is established however, we have to be sanctified – a daily process of being molded and formed into

Tragic death of soldier Onbekend
Private Robert Mabene from Vosloorus died in a tragic accident along the R550 Road near Glenroy Farming area. On Wednesday July 16, 2014 at about 05:00 Pvt. Mabene was travelling from Vosloorus to Dunnottar to collect his superior. They were assigned to work at Doornkop Military Base in the South of Johannesburg. It is alleged that the military vehicle which he was driving, hit a 500kg bag of mielies that was lying in the road and that he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle overturned several times. He sustained serious injuries and was certified dead on the scene by Sedibeng Emergency Medical Services.
Corruption Corrupt Police off icers caught redhanded. On Thursday July 17, 2014 the Heidelberg police arrested 2 police constables aged 29 and 39 years for corruption. The accused demanded money from a 49 year old male driver at the intersection of the R23 and R550 Road Heidelberg North. It is alleged that the victim was travelling along Xhosa Street in Tsakane when he was stopped by police officers driving a white Nissan NP200 with full police markings. After the accused searched the vehicle, they told the driver that the engine number had been tampered with and took him to Tsakane police station for vehicle circulation. It is further alleged that two officers told him that if he paid an amount of money they would release him. The vehicle belongs to the victim’s employer and the police ordered him to phone the employer. The accused informed the owner of the vehicle to bring money so that they could release the victim. The victim reported the matter to Heidelberg police station. Quick response by W/O David Spangenberg, D/Cst Aubrey Mabelane and help from Gauteng Flying Squad, Germiston branch, led to the arrest of the suspects. An amount of R700 was found and seized by the police. The accused officers are being detained at Heidelberg police detention cells and will appear in the Brakpan Magistrate Court in due course.

Gunpoint Murder A house owner was robbed at gunpoint by three suspects in Heidelberg. On Tuesday, July 15 three suspects gained access to a house in Blesbok street, Jordaanpark, Heidelberg, through an open garage door. It is alleged that the residents of the house were forced into the bathroom whilst the robbers were pointing a firearm at them. The suspects ransacked the house and demanded money, valuables and cell phones. No injuries occurred and no shots were fired. The suspects sped off in a white BMW with an undisclosed amount of money and cell phones. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact Heidelberg Police: 016 341 4553.
A middle aged man was found shot dead at a nature reserve. The deceased was found on Tuesday, July 22 by men who were cutting grass at the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve. His body was lying in the bushes next to a small gravel road with bullet wounds on his upper body. The police were notified. The name of the deceased is unknown. At time of death he was wearing a navy blue beanie, red T-shirt with buttons on the neck, black tracksuit pants and white All Star tekkies. He is black, approximately 1.8 meters tall, short hair, beard and a moustache. There are no suspects and police are appealing to anyone with information to contact nearest police station or Captain Senzosenkosi Shabane at Heidelberg Detectives at 016 341 5175.

‘n Nadoodse ondersoek is geopen nadat ‘n veertigjarige man dood aangetref is. Op Dinsdag 15 Julie 2014 omstreeks 15:00, het ‘n verbygaande motoris ‘n man in die bosse langs die N3-hoofweg in die rigting van Johannesburg gewaar. Die polisie en die Sedibeng paramedici is verwittig van die voorval. By hulle aankoms is die man dood gesertifiseerd. Daar is geen sigbare wonde aan die oorledene gewees nie. Die oorledene was medium gebou, kort hare en 1,6 meter. Hy was geklee in ‘n grys langbroek, blou langmou hemp en ‘n blou sweetpak top om sy nek. This event is going to rock your boat The Angelo Superspar Annual Charity Potjiekos Competition will be hosted for the fifth time on September 27, 2014. An entry fee of R500 per team is payable and each team must consist a maximum of 6 people. The competition will kick off at 07:00. During the competition any size 3 leg potjie may be used by the competitors. Each team must provide their own equipment, utensils and ingredients for the potjie. It is compulsory that at least one of the team members must be present at the stall at all times and all preparations must take place on the premises. Judging will take place throughout the day and will be done by employees from Spar Headquarters. Points will be awarded for the stall, main potjie, side dish and/or pudding. Seven trophies and cash prizes will be awarded in the following categories: 1st place – floating trophy, a small trophy for each member of the team and R10 000 in cash. 2nd place – floating trophy, a small trophy for each member of the team and R5 000 in cash. 3rd place – floating trophy, a small trophy for each member of the team. coovadiaasma@gmail.com Members of the SAPS in action during the Cleaning Campaign. Commander Lt. Col. Mmboyi and 20 members of the SAPS took part in a Cleaning Awareness Campaign. On Friday July 20, 2014 the station commander of Heidelberg SAPS and his management embarked on a joint Cleaning Awareness Campaign in Ext. 23 and Ext. 26 , Ratanda Location in Heidelberg. The Joint Plenary Committee identif ied 5 illegal dumping sites that were becoming unbearable closer to a residential area. The areas were cleaned and the community were briefed about the effect of litter on their health. During the day police members removed long bushes and grass in the middle of the location and crime hotspots. SAPS are surely trying to make the residential areas a better place to live in.

Vryf dit dan blink met ‘n opgefrommelde stukkie foelie. 3 Maak jou koffiemasjien skoon deur die waterhouer helfte-helfte met water en asyn te vul. Sit ‘n skoon filterpapiertjie in die filtermandjie en laat die masjien deur ‘n volle siklus loop. Doen dit nog twee keer, maar dan net met water. 4 Voeg ‘n halwe koppie koeksoda by jou gewone wassiklus om vlekke en reuke uit jou wasgoed te kry. 5 Poets jou vlekvryestaal-messestel blink deur dit af te vee met ‘n lap wat in asyn gedoop is. 6 Keer dat jou wasbakke verstop raak deur elke paar weke ‘n paar eetlepels koeksoda in die afvoerpyp te gooi en dit met warm water weg te spoel. 7 Sit ‘n suurlemoen vir 15 sekondes in die mikrogolf voor jy die sap uitdruk. So sal jy meer sap uitkry. 8 Was hande wat vol ghries en olie is met ‘n mengsel van opwasmiddel en suiker. 9 Laat jou kerse langer hou deur hulle in ‘n plastieksakkie te sit en vir 24 uur in die vrieskas te bêre voor jy hulle aansteek. 10 Kry die ergste verfreuk weg deur twee teelepels vanieljegeursel by een en ‘n half liter verf te voeg. 11 Kry oliekolle uit delikate materiale deur mielieblom op die kol te gooi. Laat dit vir ‘n paar uur so staan. Skud die meel af en was die item dan met die hand of in jou masjien met die siklus vir fyn stowwe. gebruik ‘n wasmiddel vir fyn stowwe. 12 Raak ontslae van vingermerke op vlekvryestaal-toestelle deur ‘n bietjie baba-olie op ‘n lap te sit en die merke af te vee. 13 As ‘n laai vassit, vryf ‘n koekie seep al langs die lopers langs sodat dit weer glad is. 14 Vee met klam rubberhandskoene oor klere en meubels om kat- en hondehare af te kry. 15 Maak jou mikrogolf skoon deur vier eetlepels suurlemoensap en ‘n koppie water in ‘n mikrogolfbakkie te gooi. Sit dit vir vyf minute op hoog in die mikrogolf, laat die stoom binne die oond kondenseer en vee dit dan skoon met ‘n sagte lap. 16 Kry kalk-aanpaksels uit jou wasmasjien deur ‘n koppie wit asyn in die waspoeier-vakkie te sit en die masjien leeg deur ‘n volle warm siklus te laat loop. 17 Maak die onderkant van jou strykyster skoon deur ‘n skoon lap op jou strykplank te sit, dit vol growwesout te strooi en met jou strykyster op sy hoogste gestel heen en weer oor die lap te stryk. 18 Kry mufkolle uit die badkamer deur een deel bleikmiddel met 11 dele water te meng. Trek rubberhandskoene aan en gebruik ‘n spons, ‘n borsel met sagte hare of ‘n lap om die muf af te vee. Vee dit skoon met ‘n klam spons en vryf dit dan droog. 19 Verwyder vlekke uit plastiekbakke deur koeksoda en warm water tot ‘n pasta te meng. Skrop die bakke met ‘n borsel met nylon-hare. 20 Kry roesvlekke uit wit klere met ‘n mengsel van kremetart en suurlemoen-sap. Sit dit op die kol en laat dit droog word voor jy dit deeglik uitspoel en gewoonweg was. 21 Keer dat vetterigheid so gou binne jou stoof aanpak deur dit elke nou en dan met ‘n lap af te vee wat in asyn gedoop is. 22 Raak ontslae van merke op gladde leerskoene deur met die gesnyde kant van ‘n rou aartappelhelfte daaroor te vryf en dit dan te poets. 23 Kry deodorantvlekke uit klere uit deur twee aspirientablette in ‘n klein bietjie warm water op te los. Meng dit tot ‘n pasta en smeer dit op die vlek. Laat dit droog word voor jy dit afvee en die item gewoonweg was. Let wel Toets dit eers iewers op ‘n onopsigtelike plekkie om seker te maak die kleur kom nie uit nie. 24 Maak ‘n vaas met ‘n nou nek skoon deur dit met warm water te vul en ‘n paar kunsgebitskoonmaakpille daarby te voeg. Laat dit oornag so staan voor jy dit goed uitspoel met skoon water en laat droog word. 25 Maak ‘n kapbord skoon deur een teelepel bleikmiddel met een liter water te meng. Wend dit direk op die oppervlak aan met ‘n skropborseltjie. Moenie afspoel nie. Laat die bord op sy sy lugdroog raak. 26 Kry ou verfkolle uit hout of plastiek deur dit met lynsaadolie sag te maak. Vryf dit skoon met ‘n sagte lap. Dieper vlekke kan jy versigtig met ‘n skeermeslemmetjie afskraap. 27 Maak jou koffiemeul skoon deur elke nou en dan ‘n koppie rys daarin te maal. Dit maak sommer ook die lemmetjies weer lekker skerp 28 Laat jou huis lekker ruik deur lemoenskil, kaneelstokkies, ‘n paar naeltjies en ‘n lourierblaar vir ‘n halfuur in ‘n pot water te laat prut. 29 Spoel jou skoongemaakte kwaste met ‘n bietjie wasgoedversagmiddel af om die kwashare weer sag te maak vir jou volgende projek. 30 Kry vlekke uit ‘n teepot deur dit te vul met koue water. Voeg chloor-bleikmiddel of ‘n kunsgebit-skoonmaakpil daarby. Laat staan vir ‘n uur en spoel deeglik uit.

Herstel van barste
Muurprop
Om barste in ‘n muur te herstel is maklik en eenvoudig. Doen dit in net 3 stappe. Jy benodig egter die volgende: Polycell Crackfiller, muurverf, skraper, skuurpapier, skoppie en borsel, draadborsel en verfkwas. Stap 1: Skuur afgeskilferde verf rondom die bars met ‘n draadborsel. Borsel daarna die bars skoon met ‘n droë kwas of borsel en hou ‘n skoppie byderhand om die stof op te vang. Stap 2: Neem dan nou die skraper en smeer ‘n bietjie Polycell Crackfiller oor die bars. Beweeg met effense druk stadig oor die bars en smeer dit in die bars in. Vul dit sodat die pasta effens bo die bars uitstaan. Vee die oortollige vulstof met die skraper af. Stap 3: Laat die vulstof kurkdroog word en skuur dit gelyk met fyn skuurpapier. Stof dit af en verf ‘n grondlaag oor die kraak. Laat dit droog word en verf die hele muur sodat die kleur egalig is.
Vervang ‘n driepunt muurprop in ‘n japtrap. Benodig: Driepunt-muurprop, skerp mes en skroewedraaiers. Stap 1: Verwyder sowat 25mm van die koord se plastiekomhulsel met ‘n mes. Maak ‘n sny van sowat 1mm diep in die omhulsul sonder om deur die gekleurde isolasiemateriaal te sny. Stap 2: Verwyder 6mm van die gekleurde isolasiemateriaal om elk van die drie koperdrade. Rol dan die koperdraadjies tussen jou vingers om hulle mooi saam te druk. Stap 3: Draai die skroefies op elk van die koperpunte van die prop losser. Steek die geel-en-groen draad in die gaatjie in die koperpunt heel bo in die driehoek. Dis gewoonlik met ‘n “E” vir Earth (aarddraad) gemerk. Draai die skroefie vas sodat die draad stewig sit. Steek die bruin draad in die onderste punt wat met ‘n “L” vir Lewend gemerk is. Draai de skroefie stywer. Steek die blou draad in die laaste koperpunt wat met ‘n “N” gemerk is. Druk die koord deur die twee wit klampies voor jy die deksel opsit en vasskroef. Onthou: Blou = neutraal (N), Plaaslike onderneming bly getrou aan sy leuse en lewer uitstekende Bruin = lewend (L) en geel-endiens aan die publiek. groen = Aard (Earth). Naelverf
Gebruik 1 koppie wit asyn op 5 liter water om houtvloer mooi skoon te hou. Dit voorkom taai aanpaksels.
Neem diesel en smeer dit oor die naelverf. Laat sowat ‘n uur staan. Die naelverf frommel op. Vee af met ‘n klam sunlight liquid lappie.
Vensters en stortdeure Rose Om stortdeure en vensters wat kalk aanpaksels het skoon te maak gebruik 1 koppie wit asyn (wat in mikrogolfoond warm gemaak is vir 2min). Meng saam met 1 koppie sunlight skottelgoedwas en giet dit in ‘n spuitbottel. Spuit dit op die stortdeur of venster en laat staan vir 2 min. Gebruik ‘n sagte sponsie om dit mee skoon te maak. Spoel dit af met lou water.
Kougom op meubels Kook asyn en gooi dit op die kougom. Gebruik ‘n skoon borsel om dit af te vee. Die kougom behoort dadelik af te kom.
Rose hou langer in ´n mengsel van 1 liter koue water, 1 eetlepel asyn, een eetlepel Jik en ysblokkies. Indien rose baie verlep is, knip stingels se punte af en plaas in kookwater vir ‘n ruk. Plaas dan in gewone water.
Handdoeke Handdoeke wat hard uit die was kom Was jou handdoeke in warm water met seep en gooi ongeveer ‘n handvol sout by (Los die sout op in die water). Moet nie versagter gebruik nie. Spoel die seep goed uit. Spoel weer maar gooi so 2-3 eetlepels ammoniak of wit asyn in die laaste uitspoelwater.

Beproef gerus hierdie gewilde kreatiewe verftegnieke. Sponsverf Verf die muur of oppervlak met ‘n neutrale grondlaag en laat dit heeltemal droog word. Kies dan ‘n komplimenterende kleur effens ligter of donkerder as jou grondlaag. Onthou, hoe meer die kleur van die oorspronklike muurkleur verskil, hoe minder natuurlik sal die sponsverftegniek lyk. Wend die tweede laag verf met die spons aan. Smeer dit dik of liggies aan, na gelang van die voorkoms wat jy verkies. Dit is die veiligste om die verf eers liggies aan te tik en dan groter druk uit te oefen tot jy die tekstuur kry wat jy verlang. Kleurwas Wend ‘n grondlaag aan en laat dit droog word. Kies ‘n komplimenterende kleur, effens ligter of donkerder as jou basislaag. Verdun dit met ‘n bietjie water. Verf lukraak kruis en dwars hale met ‘n groot kwas. Dit sal dieselfde gevoel skep as die sponsverftegniek, maar die effek is ietwat dramaties.
Tuinwerk wenke Versorg jou gereedskap so: Maak jou tuingereedskap na elke gebruik met ‘n staalborsel skoon en voorkom sodoende dat dit roes. Om te keer dat die houthandvatsels van jou gereedskap nie uitdroog en kraak nie, smeer af en toe ‘n dun laag lynsaadolie daaraan. Pas jou tuinslang mooi op deur dit weg te pak na elke gebruik.
Tuinwerk maklik gemaak Kies waterslim plante wat min versorging nodig het soos vetplante en aalwyne. Meerjarige bome en struike lyk pragtig in ‘n tuin en het min instandhouding nodig. Baie bolplante is aanpasbaar en sal vanself deur jou tuin versprei en kleur daaraan gee. Siergras het min snywerk nodig en is ‘n doeltreffende grondbedekking. At the BP Garage in Rhodes Avenue is a food stall that sells the most delicious pancakes, spicy curry and rice, excellent quality boerie rolls and the very popular rib rolls. It needs no introduction to Nigel residents as it is at your service for the past decade. Yes, a full 10 years of giving the public good value for their money! This stall is a very important fund raiser initiative that was started 10 years ago by Annie Crooks and her late husband Noel Crooks. Winners all the way Nigel Football Club proud themselves of not losing a single game as of yet. On the weekend of July 19, Nigel FC played against Young Movers on Saturday and destroyed them with a score of 10-0. On Sunday they played against Mackenzie Stars, encountering a tough game with a draw 2-2. Mackenzie Stars took an early lead of 20, but before the end of the first halve Nigel FC fought back making the score 2-2. The soccer games were supported by many soccer enthusiasts and the players valued their presence. Nigel FC is planning to host the first Annual Easter tournament in Alra Park during 2015. This aim of the tournament is to uplift soccer in their community and see soccer. This will be the f irst tournament in the community after 15 to 20 years. Teams participating will 4x4 be from Boksburg, Edenpark, Pretoria, Westbury, Alra Park. Supporters clubs get your supporters together to come and cheer for your favourite team at this event. Local teams are invited to participate and must start to prepare for the tournament as history will be made as to who will win the cup first.
