REVIVAL PROJECT Since its launch, Cooper has been a popular branch, always innovating. The cooper 51climax is the first car to have a rear engine in a central position The latter allowed it to have better weight distribution and a center of gravity closer to the ground. This arrangement has developed agility. My idea was to keep the same philosophy of the time, know how to design a car that is innovative in driving


Here the innovation and creation of a frame divided into two parts. The front part allows the inclination of the cockpit. The rear part allows propulsion. It gives greater agility and a faster cornering.

Process Concept To push the limit of the metodology of Local Motors, we will have to propose a vehicule in kit and customisable, by using the outlet of the 3D printing brought to develop in 2015

Scan Personality The purpose of this concept is to reflect your personality through the vehicule , by studing your personnal linking in order to generate a unique vehicle that looks like you! So first come as you are to local motors. every elements of your personality, will be used to complete your vehicule by passing through many stages of development like: Quiz, cursors... We want to create a new vision to make your own vehicle thanks to algorithm mathematic and aleatory shapes to generate your personnal vehicle in order to better respond to customers expectation. This process is already used in architecture.

You want a car! but you don’t know what you want!

We give you the tools of disgners. first ajust all cursors following your vehicule volonties.

Following your cursors answers,the sofware matching answers in the community data base. It’s the local motors community who have made these technical bases orientations.

On the same base orientation, the community have made differents version in order to generate tubular shapes. The software link each red spheres between then by using the generation curve in green.

Here you have one possibility. When the software generate one proposition , you obtain always different forms. Because in each generation all parameters chage.

Here you have one part of the quiz, others parts of the quiz serve for the decorations kits ...

The sofware find the matching answers for the aleatory shapes. It’s a simple forms which is assembly randomly to produce a unique froms by calculation.

Now one designer and engineer will be able to make a unique credible concept by using all the informations that the custumer have generated, and make a concept which reflect your personality. when the 3D model of your vehicle is made, the project is sended for the preparation of the fabrication, you come back later to Local Motors to build your own vehicle.

A forbiden volume is defined, it’s an area where the material could not inter during the generation.

Aleatory surfaces are genrated in the purples volumes, and the aleatory shapes in the orange one .It’s made by the community and validated by Local Motors

Here it’s one result. You can retry all operations many time to have a new proposition. The software use your answer to generate all forms and modify the generation parameters.

When you have generate many genesis of concepts, you can make an optimal choice thanks comparaisons criterias.

You can in print to 1/5 scale in stereolithography your pre-concept in order to see in real all shapes.

The vehicle is easy to build and assemble in order that all customers could participate to the realization of their unique vehicle in Local Motors factory

You can go to see designer and engineer of Local Motors, bring with you all datas that you have generated, show and say then: this is what i want!


We cooked a vehicle as an exemple for this process, but imagine putting this process aleatory conception assisted by computer for everybody. You will be able to create and print quickly in one click, any object you want!

-Density: Of all the metals used in industrial applications structural,the magnesium has a white and shiny appearance and whoever has the lowest density. -Magnesium is a material with a high resistance mechanical and therefore a very good structural element, which already made ​​his evidence in aéronotique

-Energetic: A generator magnesium is seven times more powerful that lithium-ion batteries that cover many hybrids and electric today.

Magnesium enables the creation of a new strong frame and slight with a small motorisation and can inprove power. The battery are not necessary in this system. This tecnology allowing electric supercar to compete against classic supercar

Lamborghini can put the Mg element to the foreground, it is an ambitious brand constantly looking for innovation getting inspiration from aeronautics.

Hilighting the magnesieum : it will be used to generate fuel of the car and on the structural frame and body parts Panels. The crash box is in carbon,to increase the vehicle security.
