Ecology Forest “Ecology Forest” is growing with every passing year. After the afforestation of a 20,000 sqm area in Kadifekale in 2015, 740 pine trees were planted on a 20,000 sqm area in Evka7 in 2016, the area was enlarged by 5,000 sqm in 2017 and another 250 pine trees were planted, and again this year, as part of the fair, 565 pine trees were planted in the name of the visitors and participants on a

1,555 10,000 sqm area in Örnekköy.

Textile Exchange Regional Organic Cotton Round Table “Regional Organic Cotton Round Table� met the representatives of the sector in which organic cotton production and consumption support. Troubles occured in the production of organic and the discussion of the usage of genetically modified organism (GMO). 222 represantatives of the sector including the foreign brand managers coming from Germany, Republic of South Africa, Holland, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Sweeden, Tajikistan , Turkey and

CHILDREN’S ECOLOGICAL PLAYGROUND THE BEST PRODUCT COMPETITION

“The best product competition”, was held for the first time this year as exhibitors showcased their products in a speciality designed 64 m² area in Hall A. The competition provided an opportunity for visitors to vote and choose the best products. The cubic advertisement board grants access for the first four winning companies to the next Ekoloji İzmir Fair. A lottery was held where four voting visitors won the top four winning products, which were shipped to their addresses.

With the support of İzelman Infant School, the children’s playground was designed during the fair in the organic bazaar. Everyday ten children enjoyed activities in the 64sqm area, they made cupcakes, painted vases, pease and planting seed/sapling etc.

Promoting production of, trade with and consumption of organic products in the region. Encouraging sustainability in the beauty industry by bringing together key stakeholders and debate major issues in a high-level forum.


Bio- Foundation Turkish Organic Cosmetics & Purifiers Days: 15 MAY 2019 How can consumer awareness for organic cosmetics and purifiers in Turkey be increased? What is the role of certification standards like COSMOS for the authenticity of organic and natural cosmetic products? The organic beauty and wellbeing market has performed steadily for the last years; however availability of products is still a major block to growth. How do we overcome this and what is our road ahead? Such questions will be addressed in a high-level forum during EKOLOJİ İZMİR 2019 Fair, which will be embedded into an organic cosmetic pavilion with an interesting range of supporting activities. The event shall also attract national and international exhibitors from the non-food sector to participate with a booth in EKOLOJİ İZMİR Fair. It is proposed to host such companies in a specific cosmetic pavilion. There will be an applied “ecological makeup show”.
