XS: I think one thing to keep in mind when entering this contest or even any other contest is to get to know the designer’s brand. Study the fashion house, the vendors, and the advertisements and even attend some shows if possible so that you can get an idea of what sort of feeling or atmosphere the designer attempts to convey with their creations. Attempt to implement the same sort of mood with the photographs you submit. Also, it bears repeating that it is important to keep in mind the creativity factor. Creative styling that compliments the mood will likely set you apart from others and give you the edge to get to the next level of the competition. AC: How does it feel to be chosen winner and what do you hope to accomplish during your reign? XS: Being chosen as the winner of the contest is a huge honor for me. It took a few days for reality to set in, because I could hardly believe it was happening! As for my time as My Precious Queen 2011, I am going to be busy! The queen’s blog is the newest project and is one I will be working on regularly in which I’ll be highlighting new releases, favorites both new and old, and other aspects of my journey. This is something new that has been added, and I am very excited about it! I will also be attending all My Precious events and am looking forward to all of my upcoming activities as a representative for the fashion house.
