Hi, class! Did you know that Earth Day was first celebrated on 22 April 1970? From that day, Earth Day is celebrated all over the world. Are you aware that I AM in DANGER? Think about all the small things you can and should do to save me!! But can you still remember why I am so important to human beings? _______________________________________________________ _____________________

However, I´m becoming very sick day after day! Can you identify some of the threats I have to face every day?

A species of plant or animal that is in danger of becoming extinct.

The cutting down of trees in a large area which leads to the destruction of rainforests.

Excessive number of population in a certain area which leads to the depletion of natural resources and to the Environment deterioration.

Contamination of the water in rivers and lakes with harmful substancesas a consequenceof human activities.
