Avalon Malibu is a center where respect, safety, compassion, and hospitality is extended to all who seek health, healing, and hope. The ‘Avalon Malibu Sanctuary Model’ provides adults an opportunity for reflection through introspection, education and mindfulness practice. We integrate mind, body and spirit philosophy into a realistic plan for long term recovery.Avalon Malibu is a California state licensed residential facility dedicated to the treatment of adults experiencing substance use disorders as well as psychiatric and mental health issues. Utilizing a collaborative, inter-disciplinary approach, we offer a place which provides a nurturing and therapeutic environment. Clients are encouraged to participate actively in their recovery.
Noah Levine Noah Levine is the founder of the “Against The Stream Buddhist Meditation Society” with centers in Los Angeles and San Francisco and over 20 affiliated groups in North America and Europe. He teaches meditation groups, gives workshops and leads retreats internationally. Noah has created a process of addiction recovery based on the teachings of the Buddha called Refuge Recovery. He is the author of “Dharma Punx”, “Against the Stream”, “Heart of the Revolution” and “Refuge Recovery”
Justin Leitstein MFTi CD Program Director Justin studied addiction, culture, and identity at the New School in New York City, where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He has lectured at various schools and universities on the subjects of culture and addiction. He has extensive experience with personal advancement in recovery as a mentor, providing individualized guidance and motivation to clients of various special needs. Justin specializes in the development of physical wellness, spiritual awareness, and cognitive-behavioral functioning to support goal-oriented therapy. He is well-known in Los Angeles as a counselor and life coach for successful sober lifestyle integration. He is also a reputed educator on addiction and diverse approaches to recovery. Justin provides one-on-one therapy, experiential groups, and aftercare support. He completed a second masters in counseling psychology with World University in Ojai, where he continues to study Thanatology. Justin has appeared on TMZ, MTV, and BET as a real-time counselor.
