WHAT IS IT ?
Ideally situated in the historical center of Marseilles, AVP is an Urban Maison d’Hôtes. This 17th century old Mansion invites its guests to sleep in a contemporary work of Art.
The Spirit A house entirely dedicated to artistic creativity, and yet where you feel immediately at home. AVP is the place where elegance and refinement merge in a subtle achieved mix of avantgarde and classic « codes ». The building puts together Art and Decadence in a creative and open atmosphere, synonym of freedom of expression and lifestyle. In short, it is timeless and audacious. AVP is the missing place, the dreamed decor no one dares to do at home, but that everyone wants to see.

DEMOLITION ARTY PROJECT Whilst awaiting the opening, AVP invited Artists to come and express themselves on the building site during the renovation. AVP INVITES YOU TO DESIGN AND INVEST IN ONE OF 5 BEDROOMS SEASON 2 AVP COMMITS TO Finance : • Travel costs incurred by Artists to come to the Maison d’hôte, • Meals during the day(s) of installation of the art pieces, • Costs of small supplies (to be define), • Room furniture / decoration budget, except artist creation, • Lodging the Artists during the implementation of the Art project. • Provide maximum exposure to the artists by integrating them in all communication media of the Maison d’hôte: Internet site and press releases (In French, English), leaflets, newsletters as well as the social networks on which the Maison d’hôte is present. When they talk about us, they talk about you! • Also, AVP can speak of you specifically, as AVP offers to Artists a partnership in all your artistic projects by putting forward their expertise as Artistic Agents (Copyright consultancy, Promoting Artists etc) and by giving access to their social network via their association MissMotley (Artistic promotion and exposure). In short, AVP will help the artist during the entire length of the exhibition.
GAME RULES AND SCOPE OF WORK You will imagine and propose to AVP an artistic project for a room, taking into account the following points : • You will have to invest and design one of the five rooms of the Maison d’hôtes. The room design will stay for a period limited to 8 to 12 months. • Provide or elaborate art pieces as “movable” as possible whilst exploiting the space given (Tricks and tips to be determined together) • Respect the technical facilities (electricity, plumbing…) and the dimensions of the room. • Give priority to quality, originality and diversity of the artistic project, without neglecting the guest’ access, welcome and comfort. • The artist manages and determines the budget that he allocates to the project. • Mutually agreed budget for the implementing your project, • Provide a logo for your room, • Agree terms and conditions of sale of each work of Art.
EXTRA : AVP CAN ALSO ORGANIZE AN EXHIBITION OF YOUR WORK IN AN ART GALLERY IN MARSEILLES AND ELABORATE A CO-BRANDING WITH KULTE TRADE MARK (KULTE WILL SELECT ONE WINNER AMONG THE 5 ARTISTS.)
