1952 Johann Wehrle gründet die Firma Johann WEHRLE Ing. und fertigt „Spannungsreglern mit thermischer Leistungsreglung“. Founding of the company. WEHRLE begins assembling Voltage Regulators with Thermal Power Control.
1996 WEHRLE beginnt mit der Produktion für PSA und investiert mehr als 6 Mio DM in neue Technology für die Produktion von Elektronischen Produkten. WEHRLE starts to produce for PSA and invests more than 6 Mio DM in technology for the production of those electronic products.

1998 WEHRLE verfügt über ein zertifizertes Managemt- und Umwltmanagementsystem und ist zertifiziert nach VDA 6.1, QS 9000, DIN EN ISO 9001 und DIN EN ISO 14001. 1971 WEHRLE wird Zulieferer der Automobilindustrie und wird serienmäßig in Fahrzeuge eingebaut. WEHRLE becomes a direct supplier for the Automobile industry. 1979 Die Firma „Adam Opel AG“ ernennt Johann WEHRLE Ing. zum „Lieferant des Jahres 1978“ und zeichnet damit die Firma für Qualität und Leistung aus. WEHRLE is voted „Supplier of the Year“ by Adam Opel AG and confirms WEHRLE’s reputation for quality and performance. 1985 Elektronische Steuergeräte und Blinkgeber werden mittels modernster Produktionsanlagen in SMD-Technik gefertigt. Mikroprozessoren übernehmen komplexe Steuerfunktionen in WEHRLE-Produkten. Electronic control units and flashers are now being produced with the new SMD Technic. Microprocessors take over the more complex control functions.

2004 WEHRLE erhält die Validierung nach ISO TS 16949 welche alle bisherig geprüften management Richlinien einschließt.
