Australians for Animals

Australians for Animals Inc. is raising funds to protect the remaining dugong, turtle and inshore dolphin populations along the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area with particular reference to Gladstone. Gladstone is the site of the world's largest LNG terminals currently being constructed in the World Heritage Area with catastrophic losses of marine life. Funds will be used for research, for lobbying federal and state governments and to obtain legal advice which will be used nationally, statewise and internationally. Many of our research submissions are going directly to the United Nations World Heritage Secretariat. As well, the charity is focused on the fate of Humpback whales who migrate along Australia's east coast and are at risk as a result of massive port development and dredging.
