EVENTS MONDAY, APRIL 7 PAR-TEE ON THE GREEN We’re not sure yet whether the mayor will be there, but locals and travelers alike will still be welcomed at Monday night’s ParTee on the Green. Set for 5 to 8 p.m. April 7 at downtown’s Augusta Common, Par-Tee on the Green is a replacement for the Mayor’s Masters Reception, which has been held on the Monday night of Masters Week for 15 years, but was canceled for 2014 for lack of a Masters Tournament

participant. Organizer Karen Gordon, an Augusta musician with Garden City Jazz, said the Par-Tee on the Green will feature disc-jockeyed music and performances by area dance groups. The music will vary from soul and beach music to pop, jazz, reggae and funk. There will also be food trucks, a drum circle and children’s activities. Admission is $1.
