W, 76-69 W, 82-59 W, 60-39 The American University women’s basketball team will close L, 68-66 out 2013 on a two-game road swing, opening the stretch at L, 66-62 Coppin State on Saturday, December 21 at 2 p.m. American (6-3) had its three-game win streak and fourgame home winning streak snapped with a 64-61 loss to Mount St. Mary’s on Monday night. Alexis Dobbs became the 16th player in program history to reach 1,000 points in the loss. The senior tallied a career-high 25 points, going 10-for-14 from the floor and 5-for-8 from three-point range. Jen Dumiak and Arron Zimmerman each pulled down seven boards to lead the Eagles, which held a 42-24 advantage 7:00 p.m. in rebounds for the game. Dumiak also notched six assists. 2:00 p.m. American shot a season-high 44.4 percent from beyond the 11:30 a.m. arc in the loss and shot 40.3 percent from the floor. 2:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. Dobbs leads the Eagles with 16.0 ppg, shooting a team-best 2:00 p.m. 52.2 percent from the floor, 46.8 percent from beyond the 7:00 p.m. 1:00 p.m. arc and 92.9 percent from the foul line. Coppin State (4-5) is coming off a 63-58 loss at Miami on Sunday afternoon. Larrissa Carter posted a double-double with a team-high 20 points and 11 rebounds. Kyra Coleman also tallied double-digit boards with 11 as the Eagles outrebounded Miami, 54-36, for the game.

Carter is the reigning MEAC Player of the Week and leads the team with 8.4 rpg, while also adding 12.8 ppg. Coleman is averaging a team-best 15.3 ppg with 4.8 rpg, 3.1 apg and March Sat. 1 at Bucknell * 2:00 p.m. 1.7 spg. 2013-14 AU Women’s Basketball - American opened its season with its first 3-0 start since 200809, when it earned a WNIT berth. - Four players scored in double-figures in three games this season. - The Eagles pulled down 51 rebounds in Wednesday’s win at Hampton, marking the first time an American squad has registered 50+ boards since March 9, 2008 against Bucknell. - American commited four turnovers in its 77-54 win over Dartmouth, its lowest total in the last 13 seasons. - The Eagles committed just one turnover in the second half of Sunday’s win over UMass and went perfect from the line for the first time since January 27, 2010 at Navy. - Had two players tally double-digit rebounds (Sarah Kiely - 12, Jen Dumiak - 10) in its home opener, marking the first time two players pulled down double-figure boards since Feb. 25, 2012 when Lisa Strack ’11 and Dumiak posted 13 and 10, respectively.

Coll played basketball abroad in Portugal, Germany, Holland and Wales after playing at the collegiate level for UMBC. She was a four-year member of the Retrievers’ squad and served on the NCAA StudentAthlete Advisory Committee for two seasons. Coll graduated from UMBC in 2003 with a degree in issues and athletic administration and received her Master’s in sociology from St. John’s in 2007.

Assistant Coach • 1st Season • Marist ‘08 Nikki Flores begins her first season on Coach Gebbia’s coaching staff after spending the previous season at Colgate. Flores focused on recruiting and also assisted in preseason and individual workouts and breaking down game film. She helped lead the Raiders to one of its biggest RPI wins in program history and two wins over the top seed in the 2013 Patriot League tournament to advance to the semifinals for the first time since 2007. Flores also served as the first assistant and recruiting coordinator at Division II Holy Family University from 2009 to 2012, helping the team to three CACC Regular

Season Championships from 2010 to 2012 and three berths to the NCAA Tournament. Flores was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team at Marist, earning All-MAAC Second Team honors in her senior season and being honored on the MAAC All-Rookie Team in 2005. She helped lead the Foxes to four MAAC Regular Season titles, three MAAC Tournament Championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance during her junior year. Flores graduated in 2008 with a degree in history and adolescent education.

Assistant Coach • 1st Season • Marist ‘12 A former Marist College standout, Emily Stallings most recently served as a graduate assistant at East Stroudsburg. Stallings aided in the development of the post players, in addition to helping with practice planning and recruiting. She also served as a head and assistant coach of the Newburgh Liberty AAU team.

Graduate Assistant • 1st Season • Rowan ‘13 Allie Bassetti begins her first season as a graduate assistant coach at American University. Bassetti most recently served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J. where she worked on practice planning, breaking down game film and scouting reports. She was the head coach of the Philadelphia Belles Nike Travel Team from 2008 to 2012 and practice coordinator for the Philadelphia Belles AAU team from 2008-2011. During that time, Bassetti also acted as an assistant coach at Ss. John Neumann and Maria Goretti High School, leading the team to a record of 13-11 in

2010-11 and 20-9 in her final season. She has been a clinician and counselor for Blue Star Basketball since 2008, conducting skill sessions and player evaluations for seventh to ninth grade students. Bassetti has also worked with U.S. Junior National Team Tournaments as an assistant events coordinator and site director from 2008 to 2013. A native of Turnersville, N.J., Bassetti played point guard at Rowan from 2008-2010, leading the team to consecutive NJAC Semifinal playoff appearances in 2009 and 2010. She graduated from Rowan with a degree in psychology in 2013.
