I'm a 22 year old college student and need health insurance. My mother doesn't work and has medicare/medicaid. I don't speak to my father. I'm a resident assistant on campus, which doesn't offer health insurance as a benefit of working. The school offers health insurance but it's around $2,000 a semester (four months) for very little coverage. There is commercials on TV about automotive insurance and life insurance but I don't know how to find health insurance. Where can I go to find more information on different real insurance companies and what's the average price (either per month or lump some) I would have to pay for health insurance? Any help would be great!

Homeowners insurance question?

I've carried my auto and homeowners insurance with State Farm for about 15 years.

I've had multiple auto claims but only one claim on my homeowners poicy. I had my roof replaced about four years ago when most houses in the area were damaged by hail. I've been very happy dealing with state farm but I'm considering a change to travelers. Travelers sent me a quote that if accurate reduces my homeowner insurance to about $900 per year as compared to the slightly lower benefits from State Farm which is costing $1200 every six months. What opinion do you have of these two companies and what do you base it on. Will Travelers drop me after the first claim and do they pay claims quickly? Please give your opinion on my making a change. Thanks.

Auto insurance and baby seat replacement?

I was in an accident a few months ago and I heard recently that the insurance company of the person at fault has to pay for new baby seats since the seats have served their purpose by protecting the children. Anyone else have experience with this? Can I get the insurance compant to pay for new seats?

Is being an adult really that hard? Owning a house? Having a job? Owning a car?

I'm only 15 but I've been looking around and now I'm just not eager or happy to be an adult. The amount of stuff that I will have to do will essentially cause flippin' hair loss!

When I'm older why do I actually have to have TV license to buy a TV? Do I have to have insurance on EVRYTHING? House, car, health..like seriously why do I have to pay for something hazardous that might not even happen in my life? Is it vital to have car insurance? What if I don't have one and my car is perfectly fine? Please don't even get me started on bills! It freaks me out to know that companies just want money, money, money and wont stop at anything to get it. I heard that there's this thing where gas companies and all those other stuff essential in a house can directly take money off your credit/debit card instead of going to the post office and paying.

For people who do this, is it better? It's quite scary to know that I'll be doing all this in the future."

As of right now, my health insurance have been covering all of my wife procedure of IUI and her surgery for unblock 1 of her tube. But after 3 procedures of IUI and all are negative, I think my Dr will go to IVF next and just wondering if health insurance will cover the IVF procedure."
