Fannin provides an environment in which your child will become a creative and effective designer of the written text by writing stories, poetry, plays, and songs. Mission: Our mission is to provide all students a full academic education with emphasis on creating, composing, and communicating through writing to prepare them to become successful in all curriculum areas so that they are ready to continue their educations and become self-disciplined, responsible, and participating members of a global society. Fannin Writers’ Academy provides: • A school-wide writing process • Recognition of individual learning styles • Experiences related to real-life • Opportunities for self-expression The Fannin Writing Model utilizes writing techniques such as: • Higher order thinking skills • Varied modes of writing • Integration of technology, and • Oral presentations.
