Fornalutx té innombrables encants que el viatger descobrirà passejant pels estrets carrers empedrats i farcits de tests. Entre ells es troben l’església parroquial, l’antiga torre de defensa de l’Ajuntament o les curioses teules pintades en els ràfecs d’algunes teulades de les cases més antigues.
Fornalutx has countless charms that travellers can discover by strolling around its narrow cobblestone streets brimming with potted plants. Some of these charming spots include the parish church, the former town hall defence tower and the curious painted tiles on the eaves of some roofs on the oldest houses.
Travessarà el poble fins al carrer de sa Plaça, que el conduirà fins a la plaça d’Espanya. Des d’allà continuarà pels carrers Major i de sa Font, deixant a la dreta la inconfusible torre de l’Ajuntament. En aquest punt, podrà apreciar exemples de les esmentades teules pintades.
Cross the village until you come to Sa Plaça street, which will lead you to the Plaça d’Espanya. From there continue along Major and Sa Font streets, going past the unmistakeable tower of the town hall on your right. Here is where you can appreciate samples of the painted roofs mentioned above.
El passeig continua al costat de la sèquia que canalitza l’aigua procedent de les muntanyes, i que descendeix pel proper torrent ocupat per una exuberant vegetació. Creuarà aquest torrent per a prendre l’anomenat camí des Creuer, des d’on s’inicia l’ascens cap a Biniaraix.
The stroll continues alongside the irrigation channel that conducts the water coming from the mountains that comes down in the nearby stream overrun with lush vegetation. Cross this stream to take the path called Camí des Creuer, where you will begin your ascent to Biniaraix.
El primer tram d’aquest camí es presenta ampli i asfaltat. No obstant això, més endavant, trobarà a la dreta una desviació empedrada que haurà de prendre fins a arribar a la carretera de Monnàber, per la qual davallarà entre belles marjades fins a Biniaraix.
The first stretch of this road is broad and asphalted. However, further on to your right you will find a stone-lined turn-off that you should take until reaching the Monnàber road, which will wind down amongst lovely terraces until reaching Biniaraix.
Entrarà a Biniaraix pels antics rentadors públics, des d’on continuarà pels carrers de Sant Josep, la plaça de la Concepció i l’empedrat carrer de sant Guillem, fins a la carretera que el conduirà a Sóller.
You will enter Biniaraix near the ancient public washing places, where you should continue along Sant Josep street, the Plaça de la Concepció and the cobblestone Sant Guillem street until the road leading to Sóller.
