As we were getting heated up in a chilly Colorado, ATH-TV was excited to be visited by Ashley M. Kalfas. Ashley happens to be a unique and talented young Actress from Wisconsin but, now resides in Colorado Springs. She explained to us that she likes it in Colorado Springs but, misses the snow in Wisconsin. Ashley explained that she started her acting career eight years ago in Colorado Springs. "My first production was Alice in Wonderland", said Ashley. She shared with us that it was actually a last minute opportunity. She explained that the Producer contacted her before the last performance to offer her the role of the Queen of Hearts, because the Actress who previously filled the role would no longer be able to. Kalfas, while young is definitely no rookie to the "Art of Acting." She has been doing Theater for eight years, film for three years and Voice-Over for one. in Colorado Springs, ATH-TV was just heated up with our itinerary. One of our first stops was by the Olympic training center to see Gold Metal hopeful ED Fernon. Sweet sounds great, right? Well, the funny punchline is we did not originally intend to interview the world class Pentathlete. Like many people, when visiting Colorado Springs we only arrived at the training center to take a basic tour as we were Olympic Pentathlete, informed that it was arguably the most renowned site in the city. After taking the tour and learning more about some of the greatest Olympians of all times Ed Fernon ranging from Muhammad Ali to Carl Lewis. We caught up with Ed as he was coming from his daily training. He explained to us that he basically dedicates his life to preparation, training non stop for this once in the lifetime opportunity to be a Medalist in Europe come August 2012.

Magnificat Magazine.... As I walked into the 30 story building, I was torn between feelings of doubt , shock and nervousness. Shock because the building was colossal and I was expecting an establishment that was much more humble. Doubt because, when I first entered the building was not sure where I was to repot or if I was in the right location altogether. Lastly, the nervousness came from the realization of knowing I was on deck to interview one of the most successful magazine's in the state of Colorado. Within moments I was greeted by the owner and co-owner of Pieces Magazine. Pieces Magazine is a national magazine based out of Highlands Range Colorado, a lovely town not far from major cities Denver and Colorado Springs. When speaking with Adam and Rachelle they explained that Pieces Magazine consists of the publication giving everyday people the opportunity to submit their stories and if the story is liked by Pieces then one may have their story published in the major Magazine. We conducted the interview inside her plush tour bus. She describes life on the road as being great, even though herself and her Fiddle Player, Renee are the only females on the bus. " Theres a lot of down time prior to the shows. It's amazing the things we find to entertain us. And thats the biggest thing...it's basically all just pranks, all the time. You gota watch your back!" But, this isn't her first go around on the road, Chelsea toured the country with Show Horse's while in high school. She shared with me that her mother allowed her to be a kid, even though she knew she always wanted to do music. Right after she finished school she made a decision to pursue music full time. She hooked August- December 2012 up with some people herself & mother knew in the music business. After a few turns in her career she stayed true to her love of music. Traveling back & forth between her native Arizona & Nashville, recoding new music & showing Horse's. Her hard work paid off. She currently resides in Nashville full time when not on the road touring.
