nkleshwar Plant’s journey started in 1981 and over its long tenure of 37 years, it has carved a niche for itself amongst many other manufacturing sites of Asian Paints. Known for its flexibility and agility in manufacturing new products, Ankleshwar is home to many stories of achievement and these stories make our ‘Safarnama’ rich and memorable. In 2018-19, we embarked on a journey of #JoyofGiving and this initiative helped us explore the happiness that one derives from helping others. We have consistently helped each other in achieving our goals and this has thus created an environment

Like any other year, 2018-19 too was full of challenges. But with our perseverance, we have been successful in braving them all, while keeping both our heads and service levels high. However, as we enter 2019-20, the need of the hour is to level-up our game to a more unfathomable standard. This year comes with its own set of challenges and it is imperative that we stay ready to ride these tides of change. Water is one of the most critical resources for us and it would be our stage of higher focus in the year 2019-20. In light of the increased shortage of water not only in Ankleshwar region but also in many parts of the country, it is crucial that we direct our energy in ensuring optimal usage of the same. Along with water, next year, our endeavour will also concentrate on improving operational efficiencies and reducing waste, using 5S to maintain upkeep of our workplace. We started on this journey of manufacturing excellence a few years back, with TRACC. This year we are working to upscale the venture and make sure to enable a more prosperous performance in the plant. Safety is an essential element to our excellence and it’s a top priority for all of us. With this in mind, it’s time to renew our commitment

As goes a famous quote, “A woman in any form shall be celebrated and honored, be it, a sister or a wife or a mother or any other form”, we at Asian Paints believe women should be provided with more than an equal canvas on a daily basis. We believe women should be celebrated and supported both at work place and beyond. With a strong inequality against women at multiple levels, we do believe time is ripe to create an equal ground. With this train of thoughts and a strong conviction within, we started to make our way towards celebrating Women’s Day 2019. Our focus was not on inequality but the cause behind this inequality. Women time and again have gone through oppressions and hardships, and the same ritual is continuing in 2019 too. Various kind of social, economical and societal hardships make it tough for a woman to survive in this dense, corporate jungle ranging from safety concerns to work-life balance concerns. Even if we are in the 21 st century, we find our women folks still being questioned about their choice of work field, work timings and even work place. As we celebrated Women’s Day 2019, we made it a point to face all of these causes leading up to the inequalities. We made it a resolute to celebrate the women at our plant who fight it out with us, shoulder to shoulder, in our bid to achieve the common and individual goals.
