Vida De Barcelona La bĂşsqueda de la aventura perfecta.

Foreword: I began my path in photography with the sole intention of taking photos of people skating, the goal was simple; to be able to gain exposure for the talented individuals that surround me. Photography soon turned into much more than that initial goal. I started to gain a passion for social documentary of the surroundings I see every day, the people of the streets, and those who I spend my days with. Barcelona is the perfect place to exploit my entire passion for photography, spending a week around the same people who share the same love for the city as I do gives the opportunity to spend the whole time taking photos of everything around me, whether it’s the people I’m with, the city I’m in, or someone skating. Photography is a way of sharing with others a visual diary of the memories that I’ve gained. I could talk about where we’ve been or what we’ve been up to for hours on end, but sometimes it simply requires an image to really show those moments. As a city, Barcelona offers everything our group could ever need; amazing skate spots in consistently great weather. Amazing culture and people. A stunning mix of both modern and historical architecture to marvel at, and arguably something at the forefront of importance good beer. I guess if you’ve read the above, the overall aim of this project is a simple concept to understand; I set out to document as much of what we do in the city as possible in the meagre amount of time I have to do it. The following images are a culmination of just a few of the interesting moments that I’ve experienced throughout the past three trips to Spain, with the intention of turning even the most mundane scenarios into photographic memories to look back on in years to come. Although this project is a summary of the past three trips to Barcelona, to me it symbolises the past four and a half years worth of trips to the city. The publishing of this project also coincides with what I perceive to be my last trip to the city, at least for the foreseeable future, and so I hope to have created a memorable end to what has been an amazing and unforgettable adventure. I wouldn’t change any of my experiences in Barcelona for anything. No matter how much we moan at each other, or get annoyed and restless with the hostel, the hangovers, the traveling and Craig, it’s an addiction that will forever be there. The basis of the fun is within the surroundings of the city, but regardless of how amazing Barcelona is, it’s the people that I’m able to spend time with that always makes it an unforgettable journey.
