9 OFFICE DESIGN Company Profile: PurFoods is a company in Ankeny, Iowa that creates nutritious meals, delivered nationwide. They provide fresh-prepared meals that “delight the taste buds, nourish the body, and simplify your life. Pure and simple…we want to make eating enjoyable, convenient and healthful.”
Concept: Research shows that the literal implications of touch and interaction promote health, wellbeing, collaboration, and value—all things in which PurFoods desires to promote within their internal company and ultimately their customers. Therefore, we designed a facility for the PurFoods employees that enables these ideals through a home-like work environment, a Haptic Habitat.

23 LUXURY APARTMENT
This luxury apartment was designed in the Robert A.M. Stern New York high rise, Fifteen Central Park West. Decisions were made considering pre-war apartment adherences, maximizing sun exposure and views, selecting the finest materials and furnishings, and above all satisfying client needs down to the finest detail.

West Elm’s first European location in Rome, Italy needed to maintain the W.E. brand while targeting the Italian client profile and establishing context. The ancient city of Pompeii is the inspiration for this space that allows for display flexibility. Patrons see the potential moments with family and friends they can recreate in their own home, to savor a “captured moment in time,” as if in a modern Pompeii.¬¬¬

45 ACCESSIBLE EFFICIENCY APARTMENT The resident of this accessible apartment is a young wheelchair-bound mother of an infant and freelance illustrator. Because her home is both workplace and refuge, I wanted her to seemingly transcend the confines of her disability.
The dove conceptualizes my client and her designed home, universally representing peace, beauty, motherhood, love, and the spirit of freedom and hope. These characteristics were considered and applied in every design decision.

NON-PROFIT FLAGSHIP STORE
about the space + the organization Not For Sale is a campaign with a mission that “...combines technology, intellectual capital, abolitionist groups and a growing network of individuals like yourself – joined together to end slavery in our lifetime.” To most of the public, the face of their campaign is seen online. I designed an interior intended for a major shopping area that serves as a conglomeration of retail and equipping space. This will effectively enable their mission to be manifested under one roof. The designs are based on the concept of bird flight patterns, representing liberation and teamwork. Studies show that birds in a V-formation flock can fly 70% further than a single bird exerting the same amount of energy. This concept is applied to the efforts to fight modern day slavery: if many of us work in collaboration and take steps toward leadership in our communities, then we will see greater results to break the chains of injustice.
