Dear Friends of Ashley Hall, As we embark on a new academic year, the success presented in the 2022-2023 Annual Report demonstrates the pride shared within the Ashley Hall community as well as the incredible possibilities for our future.

Last year, more than 1200 benefactors – including parents, alumnae, grandparents, faculty, board members, and friends – generously supported Ashley Hall by giving almost $2 million to major gifts and capital initiatives in support of scholarships, the security and safety of our campus, and the Ashley Hall Athletics program. Gifts to the Ashley Hall Loyalty Fund hit a record of just over $1.2 million in support of our students.

However, your gifts extended far beyond monetary funds.

From cheering in the stands at Panther games to volunteering during Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week, current parents attended on-campus events in record numbers. In April, over 200 alumnae returned to Rutledge Avenue for Alumnae Weekend to reconnect with friends and celebrate their purple-andwhite bond. I’d like to thank you for not only

giving so generously to our School last year, but for offering your time and joyful energy to Ashley Hall.

By engaging and supporting Ashley Hall in ways that are meaningful to you, know that you are investing in the future of every student who lives within this community. It is through them that our time-honored mission comes alive, and, to me, there is no greater service than to commit to being with our students, educators, and parents in the journey toward producing independent and ethically responsible young people. This commitment to work together ensures every graduate of Ashley Hall will be prepared for the world in which they live, and, as we intend, ultimately thrive.

INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT Our School’s culture of philanthropy continues to grow on campus, as well as off campus. Current parents, parents of alumnae, grandparents, and friends all gave last year in ways that were most meaningful to them.

Ashley Hall alumnae from all over the globe also showed their pride and support for their alma mater.

What an amazing time to be a part of the Ashley Hall community!

During the 2022-2023 school year, the Loyalty Fund surpassed $1,000,000 for the ninth year in a row. Through individual contributions, as well as major gifts support, Ashley Hall was able to make security enhancements on campus, advance Panther athletic programming, and ensure signature experiences like our Offshore Leadership program that will continue to transform the lives of students.

Joining in this impressive community effort to support Ashley Hall were 100% of the School’s educators and Board of Trustee members. Their commitment to the Loyalty Fund signifies a deep respect and trust in our School’s leadership as they uphold Ashley Hall’s mission, day in and day out.

As we embark on a new school year, I’m so grateful for the many ways in which our community continues to connect and to make a difference, whether it be with a generous donation or a simple yet selfless contribution of time and talents. Ashley Hall offers families many different opportunities throughout the year to connect with life on campus and make a difference. Every student benefits not only from generous donations the School receives, but from the time and talents of gracious volunteers.

Whether it was corralling colorful teams on Lower School Field Day, digging in the dirt during the creation of the Early School native plant garden, or bundling bouquets of flowers for our teachers to pick up during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, current parent volunteers made special days on campus last year truly spectacular. In honor of their 50th reunion, the Class of 1973 established the Anne Thornhill Weston ’73 Endowed Scholarship. The collective commitment reinforces the pride and gratitude the class has for their Ashley Hall independent school education.
