Program Description The psychology program at MSJC is designed to benefit both the student pursuing a career in psychology or related disciplines as well as the student desiring to acquire a personal understanding of psychology as it applies to everyday living. Distinctive Features At MSJC PSYC-101 is a popular survey course that meets the social science requirement for transfer students. PSYC-102 allows the student to work on meeting personal needs in today’s society. PSYC-103 serves students in psychology, child development and nursing. PSYC-107 focuses on the physiological aspects of psychology.

MSJC offers a range of course work to prepare students to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. All fouryear institutions prescribe their own standards for course evaluation and admissions. Prospective transfer students are advised to review the MSJC catalog with a counselor to determine which MSJC courses are transferable.

Degree An Associate degree is not available in this major. Students wishing an Associate degree should major in Social/ Behavioral Sciences from Area B of the General Education Requirements in Option A. Students are advised to see a counselor.
