WELCOME

Dear Audience Banish winter blues with some heart-warming live performances! Venture out to your local hall to discover family theatre, top class jazz, international visitors from Canada, (all personally previewed and selected), cabaret and circus – truly a smorgasboard of entertainment! If you have been to an event recently someone has probably asked you for your postcode and email – Arts Alive is part of the first ever national survey of rural audiences. Please help us to prove to those who hold the purse strings that live performances are valued in our rural areas. We need the evidence, they just love data! Save the date! Sunday June 28th sees the inaugural ‘Tour De Arts Alive’ an actionpacked day of bike-themed family fun and a cycling sportive. See back page and website for more details. Please support our fundraising efforts! Despite ongoing cuts to services we are striving to continue to bring you ooh! and aah! moments. Please do tell us about them like this: 1. website artsalive.co.uk – just click on the lime green comment box 2. Twitter @artsaliveevents – help more people find out about Arts Alive events! 3. email sian@artsalive.co.uk 4. write us a letter – we love to receive handwritten missives! Thank you, hope you have fun at a show near you soon. Sian Kerry Co-director, Arts Alive A car full of fun: Why not share an outing with friends? The ideal way to share travel cost, reduce carbon emissions and enjoy company; why not see if anyone wants to come along with you to an event? Can you help us to reach the rural corners? Can you distribute a few brochures for us? With the high cost of postage and fuel we struggle to distribute to all the rural corners of our counties, so if you can spread a few in your area please email mary@artsalive.co.uk and we will be in touch.

Arts Alive incorporates Flicks in the Sticks and Live Satellite Screenings – last year there were over 48,000 ‘bums on seats’ at over 900 events.
