WELCOME FROM ARTREACH @NOFESTIVALS /NOFESTIVALS NOFESTIVALS www.nightoffestivals.com

A big welcome to Night of Festivals London, especially created to provide an exciting, colourful, vibrant and FREE artistic celebration, for the whole family, on the Potters Fields Park and More London sites this August. We hope that you will enjoy our varied and rich programme that includes constant carnival and samba throughout both days of the Festival, live music, dance, theatre, visual arts installations (including the interactive Chimes), family storytelling and of course our amazing Nigh Time Lit Carnival. We are marking the opening weekend of the Rio Olympics with a special focus on Brazilian and Latin American culture. There is also a strong European dimension with artwork and performances from Romanian, German, and Bulgarian cultural organisations and artists.

NIGHT-TIME LIT CARNIVAL 8.30 - 10pm Saturday 6 August

• 8.30pm Carnival procession leaves the Design Museum at Shad Thames • 40 performers wearing inflatable lit costumes with stilt artists and accompanied by the drummers of Sabar Sounds! • Procession along Shad Thames, across Potters Fields Park and around More London to HMS Belfast, returning along Queen’s Walk to Potters Fields Park • 20 minute finale performance at 9.30pm (with especially composed recorded music) on Potters Fields Park • The Night Time Lit Carnival is a collaboration between Stelzen-Art, Oakleaf Creativity and Mandinga Arts, directed by Tom Lanzki.

Have a great time at Night of Festivals – we hope it is magical, fun, and maybe a little thought provoking! David Hill Director ArtReach www.artreach.biz
