Pre School Curriculum Model and Teacher Assistants...

School cycle, Timetables and Meeting Hours

Teacher Assistants play a very important role in a PYP school. At the Anglo each grade level has a total of 4 T.A.s assigned.

At the Anglo we work on a 6 day cycle. This means that if we have a day 3 on a Friday, the following Monday will be a day 4 and so on. Our whole school calendar, timetables and meetings are programmed around this cycle. As a PYP school we have to attend several meetings or workshops during each cycle. Meetings will be scheduled in advance every cycle so make sure you check your Outlook as well as the staff room board for any updates on meetings and meeting times. Students leave early on Fridays so every Friday from 1:30 to 3:45 we have to attend meetings or P.D. workshops. We have two different timetables in Pre school; one for Pre Kinder and another one for Kinder and Transition. Both timetable’s change a bit every Friday in order to accomodate a shorter day. Duties, absences and departure procedures

At the Anglo we worry about our children’s security at all times. Children should be supervised at all times. Teachers and Teacher assistants will be assigned with regular duty times each cycle. Please make sure you are always on time and interacting with children during duty times. This is a very important part of your role. Be extra vigilant during departure procedures, often bring permissions or attend extra curricular activities. All permissions should come from parents or guardians in written form through the agenda and must be sent to the office together with absences early every morning. There is a special format to send this information to the office.
