Hamilton. jr. has been elected president of the IOLTA Board. There has already been some initial reaction to the plan by members of the bench and bar. The Arkansas Institute for Continuing Legal Education will submit an Amicus Curiae brief in support of the plan and has committed to fund implementation of the plan for one year. H. Lawrence Yancey. chair of the Section of Taxation. reported on the Reagan Administration's proposal to require many personal service businesses. including law firms. to convert from the cash method to the accrual method of accounting for income tax purposes.
