‘I was so excited when I found the Arcola, and discovered they were looking for volunteers. I had just moved to Hackney, and I really wanted to get involved in the local community – to make the Big Smoke feel a little smaller! So volunteering there was a great way of meeting friendly locals and getting to see some amazing free theatre.
