For Today, For Tom Three years ago, we each said, “Yes!” “Yes!” for our children’s today. “Yes!” for our children’s tomorrow. “Yes!” for our children’s future. “Yes!” to leading the Building Friends Capital Campaign. “Yes!” to the joy of inviting you to join us, and others, in giving our children and teachers quality spaces in which to learn, thrive, and blossom. Donations by 356 friends (and counting!) to Building Friends have made possible 11 key improvements to date—with only 2 projects remaining to complete. Our collective gifts to this effort build a solid foundation for brighter tomorrows for CFS students. Gifts to the Friends of Friends School Annual Campaign are equally important. Our annual gifts help provide the books, lab equipment, sports gear, art supplies, and more so our teachers can nurture 500 students today and all through the year. Planned gifts to Visionary Friends are absolutely essential. Gifts given through retirement accounts and wills help guarantee that CFS will be here forever. And that the future is bright for thousands of students over many decades. Please join the hundreds of CFS community members in providing for thousands of children’s todays, tomorrows, and futures. Thank you!

The Friends of Friends School Annual Campaign Representing 5% of the CFS budget, your donations to the Friends of Friends School Annual Campaign help provide the everyday essentials for our students, including: books for our libraries; lab equipment; playground structures; End-of-Year and Exploratorium expenses; technology; art, music, and athletic supplies; and more.

Our 2014-15 Goal: $385,000 (Our goal is the equivalent of $770 per student that would otherwise need to be added to tuition.) Please join our staff and trustees in giving from the heart as generously as you are able. From our Early Schools to the Upper School, every unit receives vital support from the annual fund. With gifts ranging from $1 to $50,000, no gift is too small and every gift makes a difference.

call to action You and your family are an essential part of our School’s story and its future. CFS began as the idea of a few and has grown over the last 50 years as a result of the support of many. Now it is our turn to write the next chapter in CFS history.

Your gift or pledge to Building Friends before December 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, making your investment go further. The opportunities are large, and no gift is too small. You can help IMMEDIATELY by using the enclosed envelope or visiting www.cfsnc.org/donate to make your gift or pledge.

“At CFS, we’ve celebrated our commitment to stewardship, our shared responsibility to make the most of our resources, including the physical spaces in which we teach and learn, for 50 years. Now is the time to fortify our spaces in ways that will summon more from us for the benefit of generations of CFS students to come. Experiential learning that animates the intellectual, imaginative, and ethical power of students and teachers is our goal.” Mike Hanas, Principal
